Did anyone hear about the Hogan's Heroes movie that is supposedly in the works? It's going to star Russell Crowe as Hogan. Any comments?

I don't know, but I read on the MSN Entertainment page that Russel Crowe is behind the production of the movie and he wants to be Hogan. I guess we'll have to wait to hear more details.

Mel Gibson had wanted to do it, but he had to kind of back off because he was too into other projects. Personally, I think that Russell Crowe, given his rugged-like attitude, could probably do a very fine Hogan. We can't pre-judge him, that's exactly what he doesn't want. I really think it could be hilarious seeing a Gladiator as a comedic World War II POW. Instead of pre-judging his performance, maybe we should wait.

Any word on who's playing the other characters? I'm curious, because I'm one of those people that has a hard time seeing anyone else in the role except the first guy.

I'm like that, too. I haven't seen any other actors mentioned except Crowe, but if I do I will let you know.

What is weird about an Hogan's Heroes movie is that I believe
Hogan's Heroes in turn was inspired by the play and movie
STALAG 17.

I heard that Greg Kinnear as signed on to lead on this 'Nauseating Nostalgic Crapfest', rumours has that it's going to be a drama! Personally I hope to find Danny Devito in the lead role, "Col.Hogan" or "Col.Klink" it doesn't matter to me. :D

Yes, it does get worse, so you better get the kids to leave the room...There's also a second related movie in the works. They really scrapped the bottom of the sewer for this one. They're (Hollywood's "Evil Doers") going to do an exposé on the 'sexual peculiarities' of the late Bob Crane.
