BECK/SMITH CELEBRITY GOSSIP
CELEB INSIDER: Super Dean Cheers His Lois, Teri
After failing to make a comeback with the TV series 'Clubhouse,' how does Dean Cain feel about the enormous success his former 'Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman' co-star Teri Hatcher has received this year? 'She's getting an awful lot of attention, which is well-deserved. I'm not surprised at all at how successful she's become,' he responds. 'The fact that they are recognizing her talents as a an actress, she was a phenomenal actress on 'Lois & Clark,' it's just that it was a different kind of show where that stuff wasn't recognized.'
Though Cain and Hatcher played quite the romantic duo, he admits the two have not kept in touch due to 'busy schedules.' Does he at least check out Hatcher's 'Desperate Housewives?' 'I've never seen the show. It's on Sunday nights, right?' he asks. 'I'm a single daddy to a five-year-old boy who goes to school on Monday. Sunday nights by 9:00 I'm asleep.'
There's hope for Cain yet with the WB pilot 'Grown Men' in the can. Maybe he'll find a niche in comedy but he doesn't plan to spend his summer worrying about it. 'I'm probably going to shoot a couple of films and I usually spend my summers in Europe, swimming, boating -- I have a home over there.' Well, at least he's not hurting.
