On Thursday night, Joey kicked off its final stretch of four new episodes to close out the season, airing its first original episode of the month. Unfortunately, the previous run of repeats did not benefit the freshman spin-off, which sunk to yet another record low, more than a million viewers below the previous record. It marked the seventh record-setting low in a row for the series. The twenty-first episode of Joey pulled a 5.3 rating and a 9 share, down significantly from a 6.0/10 for the last new episode four weeks ago. The numbers are NBC's lowest ever for any new programming on a Thursday night during the regular television season. With an estimate of just 7.36 million viewers, Joey ranked a distant second in its timeslot behind Survivor: Palau and seventh for the night, as shown by the preliminary ratings.

1. CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: 16.6/25

2. Survivor: Palau: 11.3/19

3. Without a Trace (Repeat): 10.9/18

4. ER: 10.8/18

5. The Apprentice 3: 8.7/14

6. Will & Grace: 5.7/9

7. Joey: 5.3/9

Despite one repeat hour, CBS easily won the night with a 12.9/21 average, well ahead of NBC's second-place 8.3/14 despite all-new programming. Joey slipped out of the season-to-date top twenty in January. American Idol and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation have a stranglehold on the top spots, while Joey continues to compete with Will & Grace for the number-three sitcom behind Everybody Loves Raymond and Two and a Half Men. Check the charts below for updated ratings as they are released. Final viewers and rank are updated every Wednesday (six days after the episode aired), while final rating and share are updated the following Friday (eight days after the episode aired). Joey will air its third-to-last episode of the season next Thursday night, marking the first day of May sweeps.
