Is this common that some traders want the commercials with the trade say if its commercials from years ago? i know people generally dont want commercials with the tv shows when trading, but i can understand if they are very old commercials what their interest may be if it were a commercial that i liked years ago that i have not seen in years i guess it would be as important to me as the tv show i wanted as well, take for example i found a tape toady i didnt know i had anymore i thought i lost it years ago its a vhs recording still very good i might add of the 64th academy awards from 1992, and their is a diet coke commercial sung by elton john on this tape thru special affects they somehow included james cagney humphrey bogart and louis armstrong in this commercial now i remember that there were 2 versions of this diet coke commercial a short version and a long one i have i think the only long version shown of this and it was during the academy awards and i love this commercial so i can see where some would want them in the trade

See if any of you remember this one it go,s like this.

Theres just 1, no mistaken just 1 no fakin just1, just for the feel of it diet coke just for the tast 1 calorie.

i WOULD prefer commercials included for 2 reasons. besides the one you mentioned (sentimental value, good memories) there's another BIG reason:

when i get tapes or DVDs of shows "edited of commercials," i often get the feeling the cut was a bit too deep and sometimes the episode starts up again after the beginning of the scene-very annoying.

one alternative is to leave a bit of "heads and tails" from each commercial break, so there is no danger of cutting into the show itself.

I always look foreward to the commercials! (hoping they're included) I just got about 4 videos of Alfred Hitchcock Presents from Nick at Nite with commercials and I actually found myself FAST FOREWARDING to each commercial break to see them! What seris's do you have with commercials? From like 1980's through the early 90's??

Same here. I have received several shows in which the commercials were removed very poorly. I'd much rather have all of the commercials intact so that I know nothing's missing.

Agreed, unless someone is removing ads with a non-linear mpg editor on their computer, I'd rather have the ads in than have them hacked out poorly.

I'm so guilty of doing this when eliminating commercials. If you hit pause you defintely will miss 2-4 seconds once the show comes back on so I just tape all commercials now to have the full length episode

i am ok with both sides of this one

i do like to watch my shows and not be bothered with the remote to skip the 14th time the same advertisement was on in the last hour

but i do have a few older shows from the early 60s, and really like the old ads

my favorite of all time is the one i only saw twice

mac donalds, a group of little kids were in their yellpw rain coats and signing that stupid song--quack quack waddle ...were all nippersinkers were in luck.....

my youngest girl kid somehow picked this one up to sing like 40 000 times when she was like 2-3
