I was reading my mamma's American Profile, and this one lady asked if it is possible she could get her favorite show on nick@nite and the reply was yes , so next time nick@nite proposes a new show we are gonna have to complain. :o
Should we start a petition now? :o

I am not sure what you read, but you cannot simply tell N@N you want to see _____ and they play it. N@N has to have the airing rights to the show to start, a market for the show also helps, and since they dont seem to be playing one airing of shows it doesnt seem like one person could get them to change that, if that was the case many people on this site would be requesting a lot of shows never seen on any channel.
I think if what you say is accurate, they may have meant that you can submit a request and if they feel they have a market and the rights they will air it, or maybe it was for some up and coming promotion like they had in the past when it was either TVland or N@N when the person picked the line up for one day and the person had their face shown in place of the slogan at the bottom/top of the screen.
N@N only owns rights to air shows that they purchase(d) for airing and they have to follow the guidelines that they are given.

I'm not sure if the first post was a fear that Roseanne would go off the air, and if not, then completely ignore this. But, I am a huge Roseanne fan, and would be really mad if it stopped airing on N@N, but I really don't think it will. Look at some of the other shows they have. Full House, Who's the Boss, The Cosby Show. Full House and Who's the Boss in my opinion suck. Sure, they're great for younger kids, but I don't think they'll be on too much longer, especially considering that Who's the Boss now only airs at 2:00-3:00am. That's the same thing that happened to Wings and Cheers. As for the Cosby Show, it has been on Nick at Night for a LONG TIME. I may be wrong, but I believe it started airing shortly after Cheers did which had to be four or five years ago. Although it's one of N@N's better shows, I don't think it will be on too much longer either. Murphy Brown just started on the network, so that won't be gone for awhile, and I just don't have much of an opinion about Fresh Prince. I guess what I'm trying to say is that Roseanne is by far one of the better shows on Nick at Night, and if anything happens when they add a new show, they'll get rid of one of the crappy ones, not Roseanne.

[fear that Roseanne would go off the air.]
Thats what i was worried about.
It would make no sense for N@N to take Roseanne off their network, it's basically their #1 show, they'd be hurting themselves if they did.
So you guys want to deprive people of the shows they like? That makes no sense. I mean in the area I live Roseanne is on 4 different channels, it's too popular to ever be taken off of any channel for a very long time :)
They did the same thing with The Facts of Life remember how well received that was the reaired the marathon b/c people love it some much and now its gone
