I have just purchased the 3rd season DVD of The Flintstones and I found out that they added a lot of scenes in the episode Baby Barney than they did when it was in syndication.
First off: There is a tag scene where they show what's upcoming in the episode. It is where Barney pulls down Uncle Tex's hat after Uncle Tex tickles him and Barney doesn't like it.
Some more scenes that have been added: Fred and Barney go to the toy store and search for a boy doll that they can fool Uncle Tex with and then when Fred sees a baby in a cradle he thinks it's a doll and then the baby's mother threatens to call the police.
Fred and Barney go to the orphanage and talk to the lady about borrowing a baby and then she called out the guards to 86 them which meant throwing them out.
When Fred shows Wilma and Betty Barney dressed like a baby, their hair freaks out and they both faint.
It's nice to say the scenes have been added but it's actually scenes that have been previously edited out by TV stations to squeeze in more annoying self promotion or comercials.

Some more scenes that have been added to the episode: When Barney says he wished that he could do something to help out,and Fred runs and gets Barney back, the old lady at the bus stop said, "So that's how you get a man." And then when Fred goes to the costume shop and Barney is in his stroller dressed like a baby,Barney balks at Fred and Fred starts fighting to get Barney back in his stroller and then the old lady comes over and starts hitting and chasing Fred with her umbrella.
The phone scene where Uncle Tex is calling from a few blocks away is a new one.
When Barney pulls down Uncle Tex's hat,and Wilma and Betty try and pull him out of it and Betty tells Wilma 1-2-3 Push,Wilma goes through the room with the hat and goes into the couches.

It seems as though all of these scenes were in fact on Cartoon Network. But TBS edited the episodes Terribly........ When I first started watching The Flintstones on TBS in 1988 there was many scenes deleted and it seemed as though many times the very beggining of an episode would be deleted and it what start at a different point. For instance In the Episode when Fred has the dream that everyone is older and Pebbles marries Arnold the Paperboy, it originally starts out with Wilma trying to feed pebbles and she's full and Betty pulls up out front and beeps the horn and Wilma tells her she will get Fred to watch Pebbles. Well on TBS all of this was cut out and the episode actually started with Fred asleep on the Hammock and Wilma waking him up to ask him to watch Pebbles. Now in 1992 they changed the way they edited things. And showed completley different versions of The Flinstones. They no longer edited out beggining parts of the show, they would edited a whole bunch of little things in the show, instead of one big long scene or two like they used to. They would edit out things that were not edited in the previous versions and would leave stuff in that was edited out. Therefore I saw a lot of new footage when this happened, but missed out on a lot of old stuff I liked too.

you guys must all be younger than 40, because all those scenes you mentioned were shown on tv at one time in syndication years ago!!
