I would like to know if anybody out there is using "Netscape" as their internet service provider? If so, is it worth the money? If not, tell me why?

Thanks!!

Go with one of the other cheap ISPs if you are going dial-up. Look for one with V.92 support. It can make some difference in overall speed. Netscape is just a subsidiary of AOL, and so I'd suspect the service would be just as sucky.

BTW, make sure you have a HARDWARE as opposed to SOFTWARE modem (also referred to as "WinModem"). Hardware modems contain a hardware DSP which processes information as opposed to putting the burden on the CPU (which slows down the computer).

Both US Robotics & Zoom Technologies are good brands if u are in the market for a modem.

Here's a nice one.

I use Roadrunner. It is very fast and worth the money but it is very expensive.

Yep. $40 a month, but it's great.
