Yes, and the segment even had an update on it . They said the guy was convicted of second-degree murder.

I recall that segment. The murder took place in Banff, Canada in 1990.

The booking photo of the killer freaks me out everytime I watch that segment. I was like, this guy definately looks like a nutcase.

The girl that was murdered was Lucy Turmel. Apparently, the guy forced her out of the taxi cab before stabbing her several times in the neck. He must have cut himself and then bled in the car because lab tests showed that none of the blood found inside the taxi cab was Lucy's.

The killer was also stupid enough to throw the murder weapon (a butcher knife stolen from a nearby hotel) in the driveway of neighborhood resident.

I'm glad he was caught. This was such a brutal murder and for what? A mere $100. :mad:
