Hi Hoganites,

I hope the subject line didn't mislead you. :D I don't know of a date for a reunion, but I did want to bring the topic up because it's been floating around for SO LONG... we need to do something about it.

I think we should all start emailing or writing NBC to let them know, a Hogan reunion would be a great thing. The show has/had so many underground fans, and the boys really swept the 80s teen girls (and in some cases, boys) off their feet. They could do a good thing by bringing back the cast for a reunion. Unfortunately, I think that because it wasn't such a runaway hit as other 80s sitcoms, it gets the shaft a lot. Also, because of the "Valerie Harper" issue, I'm wondering if the network is nervous about bringing the entire cast together. It's such a dramatic and hot subject... maybe they don't even want to give people the opportunity to ask about it. What do you guys think?

Anyway, nothing new on Jeremy's site I'm afraid. I doubt I'll be adding anything new for a while... but, if he does get back into the biz, hopefully I'll be one of the first to notify fans. :)

Take care ya'll!

Hi Danielle,

Long time no chat...

By reunion, you mean a special where the cast gets together to reminisce about the show instead of continuing on with the show where they appear as their characters. I think that a special of this sort would be the best way to go since otherwise Valerie Harper couldn't be included. And if she were to be included, it could put to rest the notion that there is a feud that exists with her and the show. She has said publicly that she & the powers-that-be made their peace with each other not too long after she won her case, and that all are friends again. Setting something up like this would be a way to prove that, not to mention how cool it would be to see 'mother' Valerie (Hogan) Harper appearing alongside 'aunt' Sandy (Hogan) Duncan.

Yes, I was thinking a reunion where the cast gets together and looks back on the show, takes fan questions, discusses their careers and memories, etc.

I'm not sure how we could go about this. I actively tried sending letters to various cast members a few years ago but heard nothing in reply. Big surprise, huh? I was hopeful though, I tell ya!

I definitely agree it would be truly wonderful to organize a reunion for
the cast of the Hogan Family. Maybe in that way fans would be able
to meet the actors, get their opinions, autographs, etc. Don't give up
Danielle, keep on trying ! Please! It would be so great to meet the
actors! :) Let all the jeremylicht fans and hogan family fans know
how this goes!

Wow, Danielle and Ed...feels like old times at the board. A Hogan reunion would be really nice. Hopefully it'll happen. They do a lot of reunions these days so you never know!

A Valerie/Valerie's Family/The Hogan Family reunion would be cool! However, there wouldn't be any issue with bringing Valerie Harper back. Her character of Valerie on the show was killed off, so she would not be needed for any reunions. (unless she was coming back as a ghost or something! :-))

sounds like a great idea but i would much rather see an updated movie reunion
than a clip show reunion they could do it with this show just update all the characters lives.a clip show would be hard because of the valerie harper thing
this whole thing really hurt her career.sandy duncan was great and a clip show from her era would be cool but a reunion movie woukd be better .

I don't think it would be a good reunion. The Hogan Family was good for the time frame it was on. I'll still say it was better when Valerie Harper was on there. I understand Sandy Duncan was unhappy on the show as well.

plus it ran longer and the show kept the original cast for the entire run
a hogan reunion would be great but i just do think the cast would be into it
