Any body rememebr Dark Shawdows. I used to wacth it in the summer when I was a kid,scared the living daylight out of me,also they made a new show in early 1990's only lasted for one season.

Of course i remember Dark Shadows. I love that soap opera. I watched it back in the 60's and again when they bought it on the Sci Fi channel. :)

I love Dark Shadows I wish soaps today would do something like DS of course there is Passions and there was Port Charles ,soaps don't take the interesting chances anymore it's all baby switches and who's the daddy stuff-boring :o :mad: :crazy:

They should bring it back -- make an updated version.

They did make an updated version in the early-90s, with Ben Cross in the role of Barnabas. Unfortunately, it was a primetime show, aired only once a week, so it lost most of its appeal in an hour-long format, and was quickly cancelled...

It wouldn't work. When Port Charles ripped off Dark Shadows, fans weren't into it and it dropped in ratings leading to it being canceled. Passions writers already cut back on their supernatural storylines. It's now about prostitution, rape, sexuality, and incest. Supernatural shows have better luck in primetime right now.
