will we ever see Ally McBeal on DVD? I really miss this show and the 2-disc set from 2000 is all we have.

I hope so. I never really got a chance to watch the series, but I'm a huge fan of David E. Kelly's Boston Legal. I also used to enjoy Boston Public, and am enjoying The Practice in local syndication.

The last remaining piece to the puzzle is Ally McBeal.

I would blind-buy it.

if you like Boston Legal, you'd like Ally. It's very much the same way mixture between comedy and law drama. It was also incredibly quirky, probably second only to Seinfeld in the 90's.

The first three seasons of the show are pure gold, the fourth season with Robert Downey Jr. was good too, but it started getting too involved with stunt-casting (Pee-Wee Herman, Cheri Oteri and Sting were all in one episode), but the fifth season was almost tragically bad. I'll buy the first 4 seasons but will gladly never wanna see season 5 again.
