View Full Version : Ripped up Superbowl Tickets

I walked out of the room when Raymond ripped up the game tickets. Previous to that, the wife and I had a heated discussion on the trip in itself. Funny thing about it, my co-worker told me the same thing after he and his wife "discussed" the scene. He also walked out when Raymond destroyed the tickets. Why doesn't Raymond just quit his job as a sports writer and stay at home with his wife? It really was ridiculous when his job depended on his being there to cover the story. A lot more goes on at links than just golf. I bet we weren't the only ones in the country to walk out of the room either. "Boa"

I'm a woman and I turned off the TV at that scene too. Debra really seems like an unstable, needy, clingy person at times and that was one of them. Ray had to attend the Super Bowl for his job, which supports her and their children. If she really gets unhappy about him being on the road, then maybe she should get out and get a job of her own so he can stay home.
I'm not married, but if I was and my husband had a chance to attend the Super Bowl, I'd say "Go ahead! Have a good time. I'll see you when you get home."

Blair: Harper.
Mrs. G.: Who's he?
Blair and Tootie: Her boyfriend.
Mrs. G.: Of course. How silly of me. Got it.

I know she had a job in one episode.
I didn't mean to sound anti-Debra or anything. I really do like her. It's just there have been a few times when I wanted to tell her to get a life or something and that was one of them.

I know! She's always complaining about something. Even when she did have a job, she ruined it, and having a job doesn't really mean you have a life anyway.

Debra has got a life-her kids. She should support her husabnd in his job. She should realize that his job does take him wherever and only for a short while.
