Inconsistency bretween Mary Hartman Mary Hartman and Fernwood 2Night

In a couple of MH2 eps there was a Channel 6 newscaster named Cleat Meisenheimer, clearly a Jewish guy. In Fernwood 2Night they show a Jewish person from Toledo, Ohio because the all white Christian population of fernwood had never seen a Jewish person before. But Cleat worked for the same tv station that ran Fernwood 2Night so showing a starnge, from out-of-town Jewish person to the townspeople seemed pointless.

..."FERNWOOD TONIGHT" {"2-NITE"} was produced separately from "MARY HARTMAN..", with a different production crew and writing staff. Some continuity was missing from the "summer show"....the "Talk To A Jew" segment was THEIR idea. And, perhaps Fernwood was SO distant and "naive", they just didn't get the connection ["You mean Clete Meizenheimer is JEWISH??"/"Sure! Didn't you notice the little menorahs in his eyes light up when he talked about Carl Reiner last week?"/"Who's HE??"/"Damned if I know..."].
