OMG!!!!!!!!! NOOOOO!!!! :(

This news makes me very sad. Phoebe was such a great character and was such a big part of AMC.
Miss Warrick is a daytime legend and has also appeared in classic films like Citizen Kane.
I have some confort knowing she's in Heaven - and happy.

RUTH WARRICK

Opal I agree with you. Phoebe was a wonderful character. In her prime she was better than Susan Lucci (spelling?).

She will be missed!

REST IN PEACE MS. WARWICK! :crying: peacesign:

So, so, sad. I admit I don't watch AMC as much as I used to but I used to watch it all the time when I was younger. A phenomenal actress. She will be sorely missed.

RIP, Phoebe Wallingford & Ruth Warrick.

I haven't watched All My Children in many years but I will always remember Phoebe as one of my favorite characters. She's going to be missed. :(

It was good that she was able to make one last appearance on the show the week before last. Phoebe was one of my favorite characters too, she'll be missed. I'm sure they'll incorporate some kind of tribute to her on an upcoming episode.

She's Brooke's aunt

Phoeboe is aunt to Brooke English and was an important part of AMC for many, many, many years. she was also friends with Myrtyle and later with Opal. She was a very good women who had her fair share of mishaps, most famously her marriage to Langely Wallingford.

Rest In Peace Miss. Warwick you will be missed...

AMC hasn't been the same since she left and now it never will be.

Hate to get smart, but it's WARRICK, not WARWICK.... and Phoebe was never friends with Myrtle or Opal.

oh for goodness sake. get over yourself with the spelling corrections. we all make mistakes. Also its been mentioned several times over the last couple of years by both Myrtyle and Opal that they are friends... maybe it was just someone rewriting history but please get over yourself.

I wasn’t trying to be rude --- that’s why I said “hate to get smart”.

And I know we all make spelling errors, but I think Ruth deserves all the respect she can get --- and I like to see her name spelled correctly.
And no, Phoebe was never a friend to Myrtle or Opal. They never got along. Maybe they tolerated each other in later years, but never were close.

Sorry if I offended you.

Well then i stand corrected. but i know its been mentioned many times, it must be blatant rewriting.

Maybe you're thinking of Willow Lake Acres --- that was a great storyline.

i don't know what that is. what is that? i remember a few times recently that Opal and Myrtle made a refrence to Phoebe as their "dear old friend"..

Another question: What was/is Opals relationship to Vera or is it Verma Grubbs, the character played with ummph by Carol Burnette? are they friends or enemies, i never could tell...
