I probably won't watch them. No disrespect to the people involved but those awards shows just seem to drag on and on. There are commercial breaks every five minutes and by the time they give the awards out for best picture and the stuff I really want to see I have fallen asleep. I do hope that The Aviator gets something though.

Is it on today? I'll probably watch it  Even though Desperate Housewives will win everything, I'll root for Will and Grace anyway. Go me :p

I won't be watching them because it's on during a new episode of Desperate Housewives. However, I will be cheering for them in both best comedy, best actress in a comedy, (Go Marcia Cross!), and best supporting actress in a comedy series.

I'm not finished watching because it's on my Tivo but I think the best part was watching Robin Williams get his special award.

I know! That got me really pissed. Of course the Housewives won everything, surprise surprise. I think the best part of the night was Robin Williams' acceptance speech. It had me in tears

A BIG congratulations to Hilary Swank! She deserved that, hands down. She also deserves the Oscar once again. Hopefully they will be fair and give it to her, and not give it to Annette Bening, just because she is "overdue". Congrats Hil! She also should have won for Iron Jawed Angels.

I'm glad Jamie Foxx, and Hilary Swank won. But for the Comedy/Musical Actress category, Kate Winslet should have won for "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" instead of Annette Benning.

I'm also happy for Natalie Portman, but her "Garden State" performance was far more deserving. BTW, Leonardo DiCaprio wasn't that great, Johnny Depp was better in "Finding Neverland."

I agree. By doing this, they are making Bening a definite front runner for the Oscar. Just like it was in 2000, it's going to be Hilary vs. Annette again. Hilary is definitely more deserving, but who knows if they will give it to Annette because they think she is overdue for an Oscar.

I only watched it for a half hour or so. I wanted to see who won 'Best Actress- Drama'. Of course, it was my girl Mariska! woo hoo! That cheered my night up.

I don't like most of the shows that were nominated so that part was BLAH! The choice for the movies could've gone to 'Eternal Sunshine' and not 'Sideways'... My main interest for watching was Robin Williams receiving the 'Cecil B De Mille Award'..completly deserved it!

I'm glad Desperate Housewives won best comedy! I'm also glad that Teri Hatcher won for best actress although I was rooting for Marcia Cross. I was happy to see Jason Bateman win best actor, I love him on AD.

LOL actually they didn't they got nominated for 5 awards and won only two :p

Yeah Robin Williams' speech was great, but I thought it would have been better if Ron Howard had presented the award to him, cause of his first big break coming on Happy Days :)

Yeah, Robin really knows how to get a room going!!

I thought Jamie Foxx's speech was pretty poignant, especially when he was talking about his grandmother. I found out later that she raised him and she just died recently. He was trying to keep from crying when he was talking about her.

I was also glad to see Teri Hatcher win and I loved when she said, Thanks for giving her a chance when she couldn't have been a bigger has-been. Good for her!!

When they were doing the Cecil B. DeMille award, did anybody see Robin's face when they showed a scene from Popeye? He had this look on his face like, OMG, I can't believe they're showing this. He was truly embarrassed.

Alot of people's predictions were wrong this year  Thomas Haden Church was a shoe in to too win the award he was nominated for, and he didnt. Marcia was the one predicted to win this one, but I wonder if Teri submitted the scene where her character gets locked out of the house naked? That was a hilarious scene

LMAO! Teri might have had that scene submitted. Hmm I think they should have submitted the scene for Marcia when she threw the urine on Rex. That was crazy!

OMG, THANK YOU!... I was wondering the same thing. I was thinking that it probably didn't qualify for the Golden Globes, because I've been noticing that it is being recognized by other organizations. Hopefully the Academy doesn't ignore it--- Catalina's performance needs to recognized, IMO, she provided THE BEST female performance of 2004.

I don't watch awards shows but I must admit to the guilty pleasure of watching Joan and Melissa Rivers fashion police coverages of the various wawards shows. I love to see what the stars are wearing. Most of them look fantastic but sometimes their choices are way- out! The River's are not on E! anymore but on the TV Guide channel now. :D

Or that moment at the end of the 12/19 episode where she tells Rex I am no longer your wife... I'm going to go out and get the most vindictive lawyer I can find... I'm so glad you didn't die because I want this to hurt as much as is humanly possible.

Marlene, Joan and Melissa Rivers were on Regis and Kelly the other morning. It was Monday. They looked so sleepy and Joan said something like "Oh, two hours of sleep!" and she was hilarious!!

 Joan can be a little crude sometimes but she IS funny! She and Melissa make a great team!
