Least Favorite Character

Who did you like the least on the Cosby Show, and why (main characters)?


My vote would be a tie among several cast memebers.

I couldn't stand Sondra...couldn't Cosby find a more annoying actress to play the oldest daughter (where'd she come from, anyway? In the first episode, Clair asks Cliff, "Why did we have four children?", to which he replied, "Because we did not want FIVE"). Major continuity error. And don't even get me started on that total wuss of a husband, Elvin (or was it Alvin?).

My other least favorite would be a thirty-seven-way tie between the actors and actresses who played the grandparents. I couldn't stand any of 'em.

I wasn't to fond of Denise. That girl
was a flake. Her taste in style, clothing
style that is, was wayyyy to weird.

I thought Denise was funny. Her second season proved that.

My least favorite character would be Kenny "Bud". The reason is because, I didn't like his stupid brother's philosphies about females.

It would have to be Kenny (Bud). I never really cared for the interaction between him and Rudy. She became rather obnoxious around him. :rolleyes:

I would have to say, Olivia is my least favorite character. She ranks up there with Michele from Full House. She was just too annoying, even Rudy wasn't as annoying as Olivia in her early years on the show.

Yeah, I find in sitcoms the littlest ones are the most annoying. Perhaps, because they're not seasoned actors. Also, I don't like the way that the little kids always have those smart elek (Spelling?) comments. Most children would never get away with the things they do and say.:rolleyes:

My favorite was Denise, my least favorite was Sondra.

Sondra and Elvin. They were soooo boring. Were they brought in to tone down the show's hilarity??? Honorable Mention: Olivia. She was soooo annoying. It's weird though, because Rudy was SOOOOO FUNNY when she was Olivia's age on the show. Too bad they couldn't duplicate the humor.

I would pick Clair Huxtable - I saw the ep about the girls wearing makeup to school recently and she turned into Margaret Thatcher:eek: :eek:

I wouldn't say Clair was the most unpleasant, but I do agree that she could be aggrevating when she cocked an attitude. Sometimes it was funny, but sometimes it was just plain annoying. It just depended on the content of the episode.

I'd say my least favourite character (not to say that I didn't like her, because all the characters had something good in them) was a tie between Olivia and Vanessa.

Olivia doesn't rank up with the most annoying characters in sitcom history, like Michelle from Full House or Urkel, but she had her moments. I think she was included just to give Cos someone to mug with as Rudy was getting a little too old to do it.

As for Vanessa, it's not a matter of not liking her, it's just that I liked the parents and the other four kids more. And she was whiny too, especially for a teenager. One expects Rudy to whine, she was in single digit age for most of the show.

Ugh. Claire AND Cliff always acted more too stuck up! Whenever there kids had a problem they just lookes and smiled at each other like there kids were SOOOOOOOO stupid and they were SOOOOOOOO smart!! Claire was especially mean...

My least favorites:

3. Sondra: boring
2. Elvin: He's a complete wimp, yet he's always spouting chauvinist comments. If they wanted to have chauvinist vs. feminist battles, wouldn't it have made sense to have the husband be the slightest bit masculine?
1. Claire: smug, sanctimonious, and self-righteous. She's the type of mother you'd have no problem putting in a home and never visiting.

I liked everybody, but Sondra and Elvin were kind of boring, it's not like I didn't like them, it's just that they weren't my favorite characters.
