I downloaded MSN 7 and there's no draw tool on it. Do I have to download something else to be able to draw?

It's only supported on Windows XP/2000 and is actually an extension of the grafiti tool in XP Tablet PC Edition. (of course ordinary PC's have no grafiti writing system).

Sadly, if you are using any other version of Windows besides XP/2000 (don't know about 2003), you are out of luck. :(

The version of XP designed for mobile flatscreen LCD computers which use the pen-style graffiti system. Very similar to laptops, but without the screen and keyboard. More mobile. You write on them and they digitally recognize your handwriting.

So I have to have one of those for it to work?

OK, then you probably need Microsoft Journal Viewer. Microsoft has had some issues with the handwriting.

First install the Journal Viewer. If it still doesn't work, uninstall MSN7 and reinstall it. If you are STILL having problems after that, most likely it is a bug. You can report it to Microsoft if you want. Remember this is still a Beta release.

No. You have to have one of those to be able to write with a digital pen (stylus). You should be able to use your mouse/trackball/trackpad to handwrite with MSN7 if you are on XP. See above.

Microsoft Journal Viewer v.1.5.

"This accessory enables users who do not have a computer running Microsoft® Windows® XP Tablet PC Edition to view files that were created in Microsoft® Windows® Journal on a Tablet PC." -Microsoft Download Site

Should correct the problem. And I made a mistake above. 2000 users are also supported if they have Journal Viewer installed.
