Last night, I was watching my tapes of the first and second episodes (idiot me for not taping ALL of the episodes), and I was desperately(:p) trying to figure out where everyone lives on Wisteria Lane, and I think I got most of it understood:

Susan and Julie Mayer:
Across from Mary Alice, between Gabrielle and Lynette.

Lynette, Tom, twins, son, and baby Scavo:
Across from Bree, next to Susan.

Bree, Rex, Andrew, Danielle Van de Kamp:
Between Mary Alice and Mike, across from Lynette.

Gabrielle and Carlos Solis:
Next to Susan, across from Martha

Edie Britt:
Next to Mike

Mike Delfino:
Between Bree and Edie.

Martha Huber:
Next to Mary Alice

I think this makes sense. I used all sorts of evidence found in the first two episodes to understand this, such as how at the very end of episode two, there is a brief shot of Mike's map of the street, which is somewhat inaccurate, because it has Gabrielle's home across from Mary Alice's and Susan's across from Bree's.

I also used the MANY exterior scenes DH has done, like when Susan and Julie walked from their home to Mary Alice's and when Martha ran from her house with Mary Alice's blender.

I also used Susan and Edie's scene with Mike, where we learned that Edie lives "over there," meaning to the left of Mike.

According to the positions of all of the houses, I would guess that Wistera Lane is set in some kind of a backwards C formation, like this:

So who "lives" in the Cleaver house? And the Munster house? ;)

This street is so famous.

In some later episodes, it seemed that the Mayer house is right across from Mike's house, so who knows.

Good detective work :)

But do we know where Edie is living now since her house burned down and now that's she's not living with Mrs. Huber anymore :)

In the pilot they mentioned a son of Edie's but he has never been mentioned again since then, come to think of it, neither has Mrs. Hubers family... is she a widow? a divorcee? whats the story on Mrs. Huber?

I think Mrs. Huber's husband died or something. She mumbled something out on that before she died. She did mention she has a sister ... she will be coming to Wisteria Lane in the next episode.

In some episodes it does appear that the Mayer and Delfino house are right across, or at least somewhat, across from each other.

And also, in episode #7, when that neighbor, Victor, dies on Mrs. Huber's lawn, it shows (at least IMHO) that the Huber and Van De Kamp house are right next to each other.

It's definitely hard to pinpoint just exactly where a few of them are...

Actually now that I think about it, I think Martha Huber lived between The Van de Kamp's and Mary Alice

I don't think so. In the pilot, when we see Martha running from her house to Mary Alice's with the blender after hearing the "strange popping noise," she ran from right to left on the screen, meaning she was coming from the right side of Mary Alice's house (unless she ran behind the houses, which I doubt, because that loud yellow on front of Mary Alice's house is pretty noticeable lo).

Hmmm she's close enough to hear the gunshot, and she ran outside and I thought she ran to the next house

I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE THIS OUT FOREVER. THANK YOU SO MUCH JAE TEE :woohoo:

And thank you so so so so so much for figuring out that Bree and Lynette live across the street from each other. It works PERFECT for my stories ;)
