Also the best horror movie of 2004.

How many horror movies were there in 2004?

Well, the only one I saw was the original Japanese version of The Grudge. Loved it.

I'm pulling The Phantom of the Opera for best movie of '04.

Despite what the critics say, I still loved it. Yeah, it wasn't as good as live, but it's a movie. It's not supposed to be.

I gotta disagree. I've seen the show twice, once in Detroit and once in London, and I really prefered the movie. I thought all the changes were for the better. See, I had the CD and playnotes long before I ever saw the stage show, so I had this great thing imagined, and when I saw the corny chandelier and the not-so-astounding special effects I was pretty let down. The movie really was the perfect realization of that show in my mind :D

Well true, they could do a lot more with the movie, as far as set/effects go. It was very detailed. I was impressed.

I think Emmy had a beautiful, pure voice, also. I didn't care for the Phantom's voice.

I finally got around to seeing "Shaun Of The Dead" over the weekend, and it was the funniest movie of 2004.

Since it is technically a horror movie, I'll give it a Best Horror Film nod too.
