In the movie, they cleary say that he receives 1 billion dollars, but I don't know if that is the same with the Tv show. I did hear that the premise of the movie was the copy everything exactly like from the series, but I'm almost positive that 1 billion is not the correct amount.

The correct amount in the series is 25 million. When he first sells it, he (in a roundabout way) tells Pearl that he expects 25-100 million. The figure heard once they're in Beverly Hills is 25, but it goes up as the years go by.

Back when the show debuted, he had 25 million. With inflation and making more money, he has a billion by the year the movie is made. Not bad, a 4000% increase (estimation)

They started with $25 million in the first season of the show. In the last season, it was mentioned they have $95 million in the bank.

Sounds about right, they never really spent alot of money so with interest they'd never go broke.

Mr. Drysdale was investing the Clampett millions on Jed's behalf and therefore growing its value.
