Everybody will be thrilled to know that the 8th episode of DH drew series high ratings once again- 27.2 million viewers and a 12.4/27 in adults 18-49.
That ratings in adults represents the highest rating for any programming by any networks so far this season. It's really great to be a DH fan right now.

"CSI" has drawn more than that for almost every new episode it had aired this season, but it's the all important adults 18-49 rating, 12.4/27, that "CSI" has never matched. In fact, nothing tops it so far this season, not even sports.
Were this show not airing repeats, I'd say it had a real shot of ranking number 1 on the season in adults...

By the time the season finale airs in May, I wouldn't be surprised if it gets between 35-40 million viewers and maybe even close to a 20 ratings in adults 18-49, at the pace it is going now.

It's an anomily of a show, because you keep thinking that's it's already topped out. When it premiered to 21 million viewers, everybody thought, "That's great, but it's only down from here." Then it just kept getting bigger. I thought that when it drew 24.7mil, that was it, but then it had a huge jump again this week. Right now it's 27% above its premiere numbers in adults and 41% above in adults.
Being the eternal pessimist, I'm thinking the show is going to level off at this point, although there's a screaming voice inside of me that agrees with you, pav.

I was thinking the same thing. It's gonna eventually knock CSI off it's perch, I think by now the ratings would have leveled off or whatever if it were going too, but every week they continally outdo the previous week, so CSI look out ;)

Since CSI aired on Thanksgiving, DH will be #1 for the week this week in households and total viewers. And even if CSI had its regular numbers, DH's 18-49 rating would be #1 for this week. CSI has never gotten a 12.4 adult 18-49 rating. That is the highest adult 18-49 rating since the Friends series-finale!

:) I have a feeling that next week's might be down a bit (to like 26.5 million or something)
Though, that's still good!
I think that this episode got extremely great ratings again because of the promos for soemone going to die on the show!

Just looking at the season to date ratings in adults 18-49, DH sits at a 10.14 rating, while "CSI" is only ahead by 0.1 at a 10.24. DH has a real shot at taking the season in adults, but given that it will air repeats and the show is so serialized in nature, while "CSI" isn't, CBS will still safely hold the title...
