Has anyone seen Eve Plumb's 1976 movie Dawn: The Portrait of a Teenage Runaway? Thoughts?

Is it still unavailable for renting or purchasing?

Lumpy: Did you go out for anything, Dud?

Dudley: Well, I went out for football, but I got my finger stepped on, so my mother made me quit.

Eddie: Well listen-- I went out for basketball and I got my hair pulled, and my mother made ME quit.

Dudley: It's not that I was afraid of getting hurt or anything; it's just that-- well, it's kind o' hard to play the flute with a busted finger.

I saw the sequel, "Alexander: The Other Side of Dawn" about 10 years ago. Pretty dated.

In the mid-late 70s there were a few "Portrait" movies made, "notably" "Sarah T. - Portrait of a Teenage Alcoholic" starring Linda Blair, and this one with Eve.
I remember watching the movie when it first aired in 1976 or so. Eve being the star was the only reason i watched it. Don't really remember anything about it other than just liking Eve a whole lot in those days. At the time the BBunch ended, I thought she had passed Maureen in the looks department. 5th season Jan was as good as it got :-) But, unfortunately in those days, not many folks (that I knew) owned VCRs, so there was no taping for posterity. I probably watched it maybe once or twice in reruns, but it probably hasn't aired in years. I'd watch it again just to see Eve if it ever came on again.

Yes Yes Yes!!!!!I bought a copy of Eve Portait of a Teenage Runaway on ebay for $30.00. Truly a classic. The only thing that comes close is is "Born Innocent" with Linda Blair!!!!Anyway the plot is this:Dawn is a teenage girl whose mother has a drinking problem and never lets her out of the house. Dawn sneaks out to a school dance and mom shows up and causes a most embaressing scene. Next thing y'know Dawns on a bus to Hollywood. She cant get a job cuz she's a minor. She meets some friendly hookers and ends up gettin involved with them and thier leech pimp Swan. She meets a nice guy named Alex at the fre clinic and falls in love with him, much to the pimps dismay. The pimp gives her a "its me or him"ultimatum and she chooses Alex...which leads to the pimp pullin out a knife and goin after them!!! I also bought Alexander:tHE oTHER sIDE OF dAWN WHICH TELLS THE STORY FROM aLEX'S POint of view, nowhere near as good as DAWN!!!!!DAWN ROCKS!!!
