I'm sorry if there's another thread about this movie, but I was curious to see if anyone was going to see it. My mom and brother really want to see it, and I'm stuck going with them. It doesn't look that bad though, it's with Tom Hanks, and I have the book and it's pretty good. :D Will any of you see it?

Yep. I'm a huge Tom Hanks fan, so I will be there for sure.

I won't. It's a good book, but not one that should be turned into a movie. Looks like they're gonna make it too Harry Potterish.

When I was the teaser trailer I thought this movie looked great! but then when I saw the second trailer I was alittle turned off because they made it I think way too much into an overdone adventure but the reviews have been good so if I hear more good word of mouth I'll definately be seeing it.

It's not about polar bears.

I didn't want to see it, but I got stuck going (hey Janet McFarland, we're in the same boat!) with my little sister Lexi. It was pretty good, all though I was by far the oldest kid in the theater.

It was good, I like the mesage it sent out. Although, I do agree with many reviewers, it is kind of hard to take in such a humanly lesson from computer generated people.

I enjoyed it overalll though.

You have my sympathy. That must have been scary!

I will certainly watch it when it comes out on video or tv. But I'm never going to a movie theater filled with children again! It was not pleasant! So I'll wait. :)

I hope that's refering to children age 10 and younger, because I am 16.

I saw it this past weekend and I loved it so much. I think that while they ADDED stuff in to make it longer they really stayed true to the book...I was impressed. This movie just made me love Tom Hanks all the more. And like I swear that book makes me cry, but the movie, omg, I was bawling the last 20 minutes straight.

Don't ask me why, it just has that effect on me.

At points I was really impressed with the computer graphics but some things didn't look right such as the little girl's face seemed out of place and the santa clause I don't think looked right.

The movie was exactly what I was expecting. It was entertaining but I didn't love it.

My theater seemed to enjoy it. During the fast paced music numbers half the theater was clapping.

I really don't like the way middle school/high school kids act in a theater. I go to high school and i can act my age.

What's wrong with kidding around? It's fun to hear the girl next to you scream because a guy tickled her...
