Anyone remember those sage words of advice Carol and Mike doled out to the kids in various episodes. Here are a few:
"A wise man forgets his anger before he lies down to sleep." -- Mike to Marcia after punishing her in "Father of the Year"
"Sometimes when we lose, we win." -- Carol to Jan after she loses the essay contest in "Her Sister's Shadow"
"Money and fame are very important things, but there are some things that are more important...like people" -- Carol to the kids (minus Peter) when they're debating whether to drop him from the singing group in "Dough Rei Mi".

How about, the one Bobby quoted for his mom? "Mom always says, "Don't play ball in the house!!"
But I don't think MOM actually ever said this on the air.

I forget which episode, but I remember Mike saying to (I think) Greg, "Well, you know, we have a saying around here...'Lay it out on the table'" (as in, 'tell us what's on your mind'). I forgot what Greg wanted to talk to him about. And, that's the only time I've ever heard those words spoken around the Brady household.
And, don't forget,
Mike: "Caveat Emptor".
Peter: "Caveat Emptor?".
Mike: "Yes, it means, 'let the buyer beware'".
If I think of some others, I'll be back :-) I'm sure Mike and/or Carol had some words of wisdom for Marcia (braces) and Jan (glasses). What were they?

"Just say, 'something suddenly came up.'" -- Greg to Marcia
This valuable advice has served me well over the years.

In the show where the kids have their 1st day of school, Mike tells Marcia something like:
You can't take a step forward with both feet on the ground.

There was also another Brady lesson I remember from my years of watching the show:
"You know, Cindy, you shouldn't put down a loser, because you might be one yourself one day"- Carol to Cindy on "You Can't Win them All"
I think that that lesson really hit home when Cindy blanked out when the cameras came on. I would say that she deserved what she had coming to her because she spent half the episode bragging about how she was going to be on TV and all because she's smart and Bobby's dumb.

And then there was Marcia who was reluctant to play the star of the show Juliet. So Mr Brady tells her:
You are what you think you are
