Excuse me? Billy Crystal, play Jack Tripper?? No, no, no, no, no!!! The only person that was fit for the part was John Ritter. No one, and I mean NO ONE could possibly take his place!!!
He was just naturally perfect for the part!!!!

You know, from what I have heard, the physical comedy element was brought in after John was signed fo the role of Jack. So if John didn't get the role of Jack, there would be no physical comedy, and this would probably have been a forgetable sitcom!!! ;)
