As if competition from Survivor were not enough, Game 7 of Major League Baseball's National League Championship Series between Houston and St. Louis forced Joey to record-low numbers on Thursday night. With just a 7.5 rating and a 12 share (down sharply from an 8.7/14 last week), Joey pulled an early estimate of just 11.42 million viewers, ranking seventh for the night, as shown by the preliminary ratings.

1. CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: 16.5/24

2. Without a Trace: 12.6/20

3. MLB Baseball: NLCS Game 7 (Houston at St. Louis): 11.4/17 (during primetime)

4. Survivor: Vanuatu, Islands of Fire: 11.1/18

5. ER: 10.9/17

6. The Apprentice 2: 9.5/14

7. Joey: 7.5/12

8. Will & Grace: 7.3/11

Despite competition from baseball, CBS still managed to win the Thursday night primetime battle with a 13.4/21 average. Fox's baseball coverage was second with an 11.4/17, while NBC ranked a distant third with a 9.3/14. As of last week, Joey ranks fourteenth in the season-to-date ratings with a 9.8/16 average. CSI: Crime Scene Investigation has a stranglehold on the number-one spot with an 18.0/27, while Joey is the number-three sitcom behind Everybody Loves Raymond and Two and a Half Men. Joey will air its first repeat, an encore episode of the program's pilot, next Thursday night.
