I'd really like 21 Jump Street and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Complete Series and wouldn't mind having The O.C. and That 70s Show. If I get anything at all, it'll be 21 Jump Street but that's not definite. It'll probably be an impulse buy on Tuesday.
I'm all about the Garfield holiday specials. Thet Christmas special is one of the best ever.

All around, a weak week.
Definately October's worst.
I'll get these eventually though, and I'm not even positive about That 70s Show....
Garfield's Holiday Celebrations (Fox)
That 70s Show (The Complete First Season) (Fox)

you're kidding. Those Star Trek box sets are as inexpensive as the really generic Madacy Andy Griffith and Lucy Show discs you see in bargain bins

I already bough Garfield's Holiday Specials a few days ago. I didn't realize I got it earlier than everyone else though. It was at Target with the rest of their Christmas DVDs.

Target may have just made my mind up for me concerning 21 Jump Street. They're advertising the four disc set for just $24.99, so it looks like I might be picking that up. An obvious word of advice, do not buy the O.C. from Circuit City.
21 Jump Street
Best Buy - $27.99
Circuit City - $29.99
Target - $24.99
That 70's Show
Best Buy - ?? ($34.99 on BestBuy.com)
Circuit City - $39.99
Target - $35.99
The O.C.
Best Buy - $47.99
Circuit City - $59.99
Target - $45.99

there's no real "winner" this week, I personally am surprised there aren't more That70's Show and OC buyers in here, I remember not that long ago when there were like 50 OC avatars in here... what happened?

It's actually not that terrible, better than the same style stuff from WB.

I did get Father Murphy, but I changed my mind on 21 Jump Street. I've got enough to catch up on already plus there's two biggies next week I'm looking forward to. I like 21 Jump Street, but I don't have to have it. I'll just borrow Dr. Jazz's copy. ;)

Cool, you know where to send it when you're done, right?
Just kidding. I checked it out in Target today, right by the little $24.99 label. I was tempted, but I'd gotten the other title in the mail earlier today and realized I've got more to watch than I have time to watch them. I may get 21 Jump Street eventually.

I've watched the first disc of 21 Jump Street: S1 & the picture & especially the sound on the set is excellent. Only on complaint though - the original music has been edited out & in its place is 80's-era music that fits the particular scenes. I should have known the original music wouldn't be there because the set would have been a lot more expensive had it been left in the episodes. I have several episodes I taped off FX a few years back that all have the original music still intact. The pilot episode originally featured music off Steve Winwood's "Back in the High Life" album & the 2nd episode featured music off Simply Red's "Men and Women" album, but it's not there on the DVD :( But there's so much action, you almost don't even notice the music. . .almost. I still hope they release the remaining seasons though. My only hope is that they don't leave off the original music on the Miami Vice DVDs when they come out. You've just GOT to have the original music on the MV DVDs, the music literally makes the show. I'll gladly shell out the big bucks for Vice. Does anybody here know if the original music is going to be left on the Miami Vice DVDs?

Did they at least have a note on the package saying that some of the original music was replaced? I didn't notice when I looked at the box last week.

I didn't see one on the package, but I didn't think to look. I'll take a closer look at it when I get home tonight. You'd think they would have a notice on there or something.
