Favorite Episode with FLO

What episode with Flo do you remember being your favorite? I remember "The Cabin" episode where Alice, Flo and Vera ended up at the same cabin for the weekend as Mel and Marie. They all got trapped there by a tornado that was heading right towards them.

MEL: I'm not ready to die! Oh, I've treated you girls like garbage all these years. I never even paid you a decent wage!

FLO: Oh, Mel don't feel bad. I'm always makin' fun of you. Saying that your cheap, saying that you're fat, saying that you're ugly, sayin' you're a terrible cook. And I'm sorry. 'Cause truth is, sometimes the food's pretty darn good . . .:lol:

Vera sees a spider.
VERA: Eeek! A big black spider . . .

FLO: Give me somethin' to squash him with . . .

VERA: Oh, no, Flo. You can't kill spiders. Spiders are our friends!
(Flo eyes her for a moment with disgust)

FLO: YOU pick YOUR friends and I'LL pick MINE!!!
(She flattens the bug with a newspaper)

VERA: Murderer!!!

FLO: Oh, that does it, now I am not bunking with SPIDERS!

VERA: Well that suits me just fine because I refuse to share this cabin with a MAD KILLER!!!

The last we see of flo is in alice's final episode when we see flash backs of the entire series, there are a couple clips of flo i think one of flo with telly savalas. I think linda lavin and polly holliday did not get along (well at least during the 1979-1980) season. that is why she was never mentioned after she left the series.

You are right because as I stated in previous postings the tension between Linda and Polly during the 79-80 season went full tilt and it was noticeable in the episode with Telly Savalas. The show never recovered from Polly Holliday's departure. It had the potential with Diane Ladd but Linda was threatened by her as well. Celia Weston, Jolene, did not pose a danger to Linda's ego.

My favorite Flo episode was #37 Close Encounters of the Worst Kind. That was so funny when everyone was venting their hostilities toward each other.

The character of Flo was a more supporting character than a leading character. Her interplay with Mel provided some of the show's best laughs.

I enjoyed the episodes where Linda gets to sing. I think she have a good voice and the songs they have her sing are well picked out for her.
