I hope this is the right board for this, but can someone tell me what shows BV has the rights too? Do they own any shows older than the Golden Girls?

I know they own:

Boy Meets World
Home Improvement
The Golden Girls

what others? :)

BV has the rights to a lot of hour-long shows, I know Felicity, Popular, Once And Again and the sort.

For sitcoms, I'm not positive but I think they bought the rights to Growing Pains from Warner. They own Ellen but licensed it to A&E (as A&E is Disney-owned)

Thanks, I didn't know they owned all those dramas :)

Wow I didn't know that about Growing Pains, maybe that will help it get out on DVD faster :)

I think Warner still owns Growing Pains (it still had the Warner Bros. logo last time I saw the show this summer), but Disney owns the two TV movies.

What about the 2 Golden Girls spin-offs, Empty Nest and Nurses? Do they own the rigts to those shows?

Other releases from Buena Vista (not necessarily all older titles): ESPN's Playmakers, the Schoolhouse Rock Collection, the Spiderman '67 collection, Sportsnight, and the above mentioned Felicity and Once & Again.

Just checked the 2005 thread, BV is also scheduled to release America's Funniest Home Videos and Sweet Valley High next year.

I forgot about SVH, that's one I plan on getting, I've been a fan of the book series since they came out :)

Thanks :)

I think Buena Vista owns the rights to Blossom and Dinosaurs, both of which I'd like to see on DVD. (yes, I like Blossom. Sue me...)

More modern shows include the tween sitcoms Even Stevens, Lizzie McGuire, That's So Raven and Phil of the Future. "Bring on the DVDs!" says I.

Regardless of who owns the rights, I think Growing Pains should have been released on DVD by now. :-/
