Be reminded that I don't have anything to do with the actual show or actors, although I did use many direct quotes from this script of this episode.

SCENE 1 - In the bar

Angela is sitting at the bar, talking to the bartender, Joe.

Ang: No, no. You don't understand. My housekeeper's a man, and I can never face him again.

Joe: That’s really humiliating. This one’s on the house.

Ang: Right now my family’s throwing me a party, but I’m too embarrassed to go. Do you think I’m a horrible person?

Joe: Uh, shouldn’t you be telling this to a shrink?

Ang: I tried. She’s on vacation.

Joe: Mine always leaves an emergency number... you know, I bet you two... you and this housekeeper of yours... could really light up a room with electricity.

Ang: (laughing) Are you kidding? We could light a small city with all the sparks flying in that house.

Joe: Like Debuke?

Ang: Yeah. But the problem is, how do I know if he really cares?

(Someone barges into the bar and Joe notices the way Angela looks as Tony approaches the counter)

Joe: (quietly to Angela) That's how. He came looking for you.

Ang: (turning away, embarrassed) Tony! How did you find me?

Tony: Ah, the Micelli network. First Frank the conductor saw you get off the train in Fairfield. Then I called Al the Fireman and Joe the Policeman and Roxie the Meter Maid to keep an eye out for your Jag.

Ang: Which one of them found me?

Tony: Tony the Housekeeper. I was across the street filling up my van and spotted your car. Angela, what are you doing on this side of town? Mona wouldn’t even come to a place like this! Angela, we have to talk.

Ang: You don’t have to say anything, I’m fine. I’m perfectly fine. Really.

Joe: (comes over with a card) Uhm, the number of my shrink.

Ang: Uh, thank you (to Tony) Look, Tony, in light of my bedroom blatherings, I uhm, I don’t think our situation is going to work out anymore. One of us has to move. I’ll look for a place in the morning.

Tony: Come on, Angela. Nobody’s moving anywhere. And you shouldn’t be embarrassed about last night. You didn’t do anything that I haven’t done. I mean, hey, remember that time I was getting my appendix out? And I, I was under that anesthesia, and I said pretty much close to what you said?

Ang: You said exactly what I said.

Tony: All right, ok, so there you go. We both have, you know, feelings.

Joe: You two'd make a great couple if you could stay unconscious.

Ang: He has a point, Tony.

Tony: Bologna! I don't have to be unconscious to tell you how I feel.

Ang: You don't?

Tony: No!

Ang: Then tell me.

Tony: Tell you what?

Ang: How you feel.

Tony: Oh, oh, that. Well, uhm, well Angela, uhm, look, uhm, we know each other a long time and uhm, we live, uhm, down the hall, and uhm, and we’ve shared many…appliances. And uhm, well you know when you’ve been through all of that…Well let me put it another way Angela. It’s a tough world out there. Well, I guess that about wraps it up.

Ang: I couldn't have said it better myself.

Joe: (holding beernuts with a candle in them) Yes you can... you can tell him what you told me.

Ang: (glaring at him) No, I think he said it all.

Joe: Well (sets down the beernuts) Happy birthday to today's best customer. Make a wish.

Ang: Oh, thank you... you know, when I was a little girl (Tony grumbles) I used to stay up all night before my birthday thinking of what I was going to wish. And when I finally decided I made sure I didn’t tell anybody because well, then I was sure that it just wouldn’t come true.

Tony: Angela, the candle is melting in the beernuts!

Ang: (ignoring Tony) But this year it's different. This year, I'll do it myself. (she looks at Tony lovingly, then blows out the candle with care)

Tony: Hope your wish comes true.

Ang: You do?

Tony: Yeah.

(He hugs Angela tightly, lingering in their embrace)

Joe: Would you just kiss him already?

(Tony and Angela pull apart and look at each other, then, Tony leans in a kisses Angela softly. When he pulls back, she stares at him)

Tony: Happy birthday.

Ang: (softly) Oh, Tony...

Tony: Are you going to tell me your wish?

Ang: It was... it was just something about spending more time with... with my family. Yeah, I want to spend more time with my family.

Tony: Well, your family is waiting for you at home with a double fudge cake that says "Happy birthday, La"

Ang: What?

Tony: Nevermind. Tell Joe goodbye (he heads to the door)

Ang: Bye, Joe. Thanks. (follows Tony)

Tony: Say, Ang... have you ever been to Debuke?

Ang: No, but I hear it's a very well lit city. (she winks at Joe)

Tony: (shocked at what Angela said, looks back at Joe) Thanks, Joe.

SCENE 2 - Outside the Bower house

(Angela and ony return home, laughing as they step near the front door. They seem to be a bit drunk.)

Ang: Thanks for the amazing night.

Tony: Yeah, I'm just sorry Mona ruined your birthday party.

Ang: It's okay. I still had fun.

(They look at each other a moment, then they kiss passionately)

Tony: Me too.

Ang: Say, ah... Tony...

Tony: Yeah?

Ang: You really want to know what my wish was?

Tony: Sure.

Ang: It was for this.

Tony: For wha?

Ang: I mean, just being with you... as more than... friends. (her voice terns stern) We are more than friends, right?

Tony: I don't know, I mean... I guess so. If you want to be. Do you want to be?

Ang: (smiling) You know, I always wished you would say you loved me first, before I just blurted it out.

Tony: But I did say it first... at the hospital when I was getting my appendix out.

Ang: No, I don't mean when you are lieing on a hospital bed unconscious. I mean, just you and me... privately.

Tony: Wait a minute. Is that what the whole private conversation was about with Frankie?

Ang: Honestly... (she hesitates)

Tony: (sternly) Angela!

Ang: Okay, fine. Yes, it was. I went to Dr. Bellows and she dug out my most intimate thoughts about you and she told me if I didn't tell you I love you, I'd lose you. But I told her I wanted to hear it from you first. And then you didn't even...

Tony: (over Angela's rambling) I love you.

Ang: (stops suddenly) What?

Tony: I, ah... I love you, Angela.

Ang: (smiling) Oh, Tony! (pauses while looking at Tony lovingly) I love you too.

(The front door opens and Samantha comes outside)

Sam: What's going on out here?

Ang: (startled) Oh... nothing, why?

Sam: Because you pulled up like, ten minutes ago.

Tony: Samantha, why aren't you in bed?

Sam: I'm going to Bonnie's house to spend the night. I'll be back by around noon tomorrow. I just wanted to tell you goodnight.

Tony: Alright, goodnight, baby. (kisses Samantha's forehead)

Ang: Goodnight, Samantha. Have fun. (kisses Samantha and hugs her tightly)

(Samantha goes inside and the door closes behind her)

Tony: You look very natural with her, you know?

Ang: Really? Well, I always wanted a daughter, and Sam is... she's the closest I've got.

Tony: Well, you are welcome to use her.

Ang: (after a pause) I guess we, ah, better go in.

Tony: Oh... oh, yeah.

SCENE 3 - The kitchen

(Tony is sitting in the kitchen holding a cup of coffee. Angela comes in quietly)

Ang: What are you doing uo?

Tony: Couldn't sleep, you?

Ang: Finding the only cure for my sleep talking. Is there any coffee?

Tony: Yeah (stands up and pours Angela a cup as she sits down) Here.

Ang: (taking the cup) Thanks.

Tony: You know... maybe now that your deep seeded desire is uncovered, you won't sleep talk anymore.

Ang: Maybe, but I'd rather play is safe. Besides, what if I reveal other things?

Tony: What other things?

Ang: I don't know... (stands up and walks to Tony) and even if I did, I can't tell you.

Tony: Is there a way to change your mind?

Ang: Depends on what you try.

(Tony puts his arm around Angela's lower back and pulls her into him to kiss her passionately. She pulls back and takes a breath)

Ang: Yeah... that might work.

SCENE 4 - Upstairs hallway

(Mona is walking in the dark hallway towards the stairs when a noise comes from Tony's room *off screen*)

Tony: Oh, Angela!

Mona: (creeping towards his door) Not him too?!

Ang: (from Tony's room) Oh, Tony!

(Mona smiles and covers her mouth, then, walks back to Samantha's room)
