The Charge Is RAPE

I have just begun reading a book published by Gerald Astor titled"The Charge Is RAPE"filled all kinds of rape related stories.This book was published in 1974.The AITF episode"Gloria The Victim"where Gloria had been attacked by a would-be rapist,had first aired on March 17 1973,just one year prior to the release of my book.I realise that the crime of rape is much older than All In The Family.But I wonder if the AITF episode I have just mentioned inspired Gerald Astor to write the book.

On the flip side, maybe the book was the inspiration for the episode. ;)

That's sorta impossible since he said the book was published in '74 & the episode aired in '73.
