In your opinions who were the worst characters that Happy Days had? Here is my list:

Flip, KC, Chaci's mom, Slim, Pinky, Leather, Jenny, and Roger.

Flip had no significance to me on the show. Roger got on my nerves sometimes, but he was better than his brother Flip. Fonzie was cool at times, but also had a serious ego problem, but for my least favorite character, I say that Flip takes the cake.

I agree. Except for Leather. She was kinda cool...except for her hair! And at least the fonz had something to have a big ego about!!! HE deserved to have a big ego! He woulnd't be cool if he didn't have the ego! He might be a (Excuse my language)....NERD!!!

I think my least favorite characters are (in this order):
1. Roger-Incredibly annoying and a poor try at filling Richie's personality slot on the show.
2. Flip-Totally worthless and he wore those stupid half-shirts.
3. Jenny
4. Chachi-Sorry to anyone who likes him, frankly I don't.

Probably Chuck, because he was actually played by 3 people including the "Love American Style" episode(who played him on that show?). He had only a few lines on six shows, & I missed his line on "give the band a hand." Has anyone seen it? I think the producers probably thought Chuck would take away from Fonzie & vice-versa. Also, I heard that Gavin O'Hearhly wanted to be a poet.

I kinda agree with you about Chachi to a certain extent. He was alright sometimes, but then got on my nerves at other times because he could be too pushy. I can't believe you don't like Jenny. I thought she was good, however, she seemed like (dare I say it) a ho! I like Ted McGinley, but his character Roger was annoying. I already gave my feelings about the Fonz and Flip so I won't go there.

FLIP and his belly shirts! What the hell was that about????Yeah, the show really suffered when it tryed to feature on Joanie and her friends,Rodger etc.
Jenny Piccolo was a bit of a dissapointment to me.After the build-up you thought she'd be a lot hotter when she finally made an appearance.ALTHOUGH...I do have a male friend who to this day says "Jenny Piccolo...ME-OW!" He thinks she's sexy!!!!(But then again...he also digs Shirley on Laverne & Shirley)

Roger Phillips...what were the producers thinking? Seriously, I think Fonzie wouldn't have even associated with him if he weren't Richie's cousin. He had no personality. And I don't really even remember enough about Flip to really comment on him...I guess that says something. I've noticed no one has mentioned Ashley...I always thought she was a little stuck up. She seemed too prissy for the Fonz.

All the new people that came on after Ron Howard and Donny Most left, I didn't watch the show as much when they went into the Army.

It pretty much seems there's a consensus here that the worst characters were the ones who appeared after the seventh season (i.e., after Richie and Ralph left to go in the army).

Another annoying character, albeit a guest one, was Melvin Scratch in the 7th season. It was also a pretty weak episode with the devil and an angel fighting over Chachi's soul. The devil should've won - if he did, we wouldn't have to have suffered through Joanie Loves Chachi.

T.C. was pretty weak - just a fill-in for Joanie while she was starring in her one-season wonder and like Roger, a poor substitute. Characters like Jenny and Potsie are useless unless they have their "buddy" characters around and the show went into its final tailspin around this time.

I love the show, but in retrospect, they should have ended it with the 7th season.

Two words: LORI BETH.

I was watching an episode of Happy Days once and thought that Richie was dating Cindy Williams of Laverne and Shirley fame. I mean, I was SO CONFIDENT that the two were hooking up! (Think "American Graffiti"!) Then I heard Richie call her "Lori Beth."

Shirley Feeney was a much better fit for "Richie the C" IMHO.

I think what annoys me is that Flip & K.C. were only in a few episodes even though the Cunninghams treated them like they always existed! I wish Fonzie could have stayed with Ashley longer though.
Flip (pointless, out-of-place, unexplainable)
Ashley (ruined the Fonz's character in my eyes)
Heather (more annoying than precocious or cute)
Pinky :barf:
Potsie in the last couple of seasons - he was like a piece of furniture by that point :(
Lori Beth (bo-ring - which i guess made her perfect for Richie)
KC (not a worthy replacement for Joanie at all)
In hindsight Anson Williams should have left when Ron and Donny left because Potsie became useless after that. The only time he was used was when they needed someone to insult or make fun of.

Worst characters were...

Flip
K.C
Jenny
Melvin and Eugene Belvin
Joanie and Chachi after they became a couple

All of this of course was after Ritchie and Ralph left. No coincidence.

I never liked Lori Beth either. Couldn't they find a better girlfriend for Ritchie? How about Daphne!!!lol

The show was bad enough after the departures of Ron and Donny, but it got even worse when they watered it down further by spinning off Joanie and Chachi into their own show.

At that point, it really wasn't Happy Days anymore, IMO. I know some people like the later years and that's cool, but for someone who grew up with the original cast, watching the later shows years later is very painful.

I think M*A*S*H is a great example of a show that dealt with replacing characters in a creative way: Rather than replace departing characters with similar types, they went out of their way to make new characters who were vastly different from their predecessors and explored new angles when delving into their characters.

The same, sadly, cannot be said for HD. :(

Definitely Mork from Ork.

It's OK that Happy Days went into a less realistic show as years went by, but a guy from space is just a little too much for me.

There's nothing wrong with Mork as a character. I probably would have liked him in another sitcom, but for Happy Days it was just too far out.

Eugene, Melvin. Just about everybody who came on board when the show went into the 80's. All the new characters sucked in their own unique way.

Sorry but this show really went down the tubes when two of the four focal points of the show left.

It was bad enough the Richie Character was gone. But the way they kept him alive on the show as if he was there was pathetic. Phone calls, Letters ect. It would have served them better not to keep his memory such a big part of the show.

Roger was one of the best characters in my opinion.

As for the worst, probably Flip and KC. I didnt like either of them much at all.

Good Lord! The worst character ever was that slimy prepubescent nightmare, SPIKE. While Chachi is as refreshing as a cool glass of stomach acid on a warm summer's night, compared to Spike, he's a Godsend.
The little fink showed up for a few episodes in the pre-Chachi days. The problem with his character was... 10 year olds aren't cool. And when they try to be cool, well, i'm strongly against child abuse in every single case ever except when it comes to Spike. What a meatball.
Fonzie is a sexist greaseball prostituting his physical affections for any young thing in a poodle-skirt, but we forgive him his trespasses because of his ability to make us laugh and his ability to start juke boxes without ever putting a dime in the slot. Yet there is something bone shivering-ly creepy about watching a leather clad ten-year-old boy snapping his fingers at little girls and thinking that "he's the man." Wrongamundo Spike!!!!!!!

Roger was extremely annoying because he clutched tightly to his arrogant pompous tendencies without ever displaying any real possession of intellect to back them up. BUT, and even though he marched into Milwaukee like he owned the place, at least he provided a new interesting relationship for Fonzie. He wasn't really afraid of the Fonz and it was awful to see Fonzie always acting like "i'm gonna hit 'em!" and then restraining himself. Come on Fonz! Have you ever actually hit someone or were you bluffing all this time? You should have clocked Roger's head off, man.

Also, that little girl of the lady Fonz was dating was a @#$*# and Fonzie's adopted son???

************************IMPORTANT************************

Overlooked annoying character... POTSIE.

Sure, he's a regular.
Sure, he's a classic.
Sure, he's a pervert.
Sure, he's a potential RAPIST. Check out the episode where he pretends to be ritchie and vice versa. He rips a girl's dress open as she refuses his advancements. He's no dren. He's a flat out nerd.

I totaly agree with Malph007, on Spike. What was the purpose of having a kid going around all the time thinking he is tougher than everyone else?

I also agree with all the others who said Jenny Pickalo(ever it is spelled) was bad. Before they ever showed her Joani used to make her out like this really WOW special person, only to have it a let down when he acted like nothing like Joani explained her to be.

Flip why was he even on the show? We really didn't need to see someone's belly button now did we?

Potsie went to college and graduated and all he could manage was working for Howard Cunningham at the hardware store? Come on now they could have gave him something else. Also he got tirersome after while when Richie and Ralph both left the show.

K.C. What was her purpose for being on the show?

I obivoiusly liked Pinky lol...i seriously thought she should have exsisted more on the seris. as for the characters i hated....i would have to say...Roger, KC, Flip, and Boom boom. i always thought roger was a very laim replacement for richie. and i thought KC was the same for Joanie. Flip had absoultly no point on the show...(or was his point to annoy us? cause he certainly annoyed me... )
and i never really liked Boom Boom...I felt she had no point either. i mean come on she never spoke and she skated around all the time. and i really think Ashley and Heather didn't have much point either. I mean i thought it was very clear to see that Ashley and Fonzie were diffently NOT meant to be.
