Just seen an article about Cybill's recent appearance on British Morning TV (GMTV).

http://breaking.tcm.ie/2004/09/21/story167511.html

Most of it is about her hair being a mess, but there was this comment about moonlighting:-

The actress said she hoped to make a film version of Moonlighting, the hit Eighties show in which she starred opposite Bruce Willis.

The pair fell out while filming the show but Shepherd said they were now firm friends.

“When people get a tremendous amount of success, especially for the first time, it doesn’t necessarily bring out the best in them. We get on fine now. I adore Bruce and we’re dying to do a Moonlighting movie,” she said.

Interesting huh? Not sure what Bruce thinks, obviously!

Mul

Wouldn't that be cool?? I'd love to see it happen! (As long as Cybill gets a good hairstylist! I guess Bruce wouldn't need one. :D)

I guess Cyb could miss a few hairs and they can place it on Bruce's head!?

There's a nasty site on Google that had someone saying that Cybill was bald. I guess we can put that rumor to rest! She seems to have enough hair to donate some to Bruce.:D

This is from an episode of Cybill where she has an acting job and she plays Galaxy girl.
Here's another pic

I saw this interview with Cybill on GMTV and she was on good form. The hair thing was hilarious!

Cybill was in joking mood, but when it came to talking about the Moonlighting movie and how she and Bruce were getting on and dying to do the movie, she was deadly serious. Here's hoping it happens one day!

kismet

Now I REALLY wish I had seen the interview. It sounds like it was very interesting, and also funny.

Tazmania

See there are a lot of people who looked at the interview and at Cybill and not just her hair!
It doesn't matter how she looks, she never loses her humor,
inside she's always the same......
Boy I wish I'd seen it too! boohoo! :crying:

The funny thing is that if she hadn't looked that way at the interview, it might not have gotten the same press and we would never have heard that little tidmit about a Moonlighting movie! Way to go, Cybill! I love her!

Tazmania
09-23-2004, 02:18 PM
Yeah she knows how to draw attention!
What a difference compared to the Hello article...
You see what make-up and lighting can do to a person.
I really have respect for people like her who stay natural and whenever it's necessary can look like a diamond...
Love that woman.

MulberryGal

Yep, she's great aint she? I think what I like most about her is that she looks like your typical blonde beautiful woman, but she has this slightly mad Southern woman air to her as well!!! She doesn't do things the way you expect her to and I can respect that!

Exactly Mul, she's different from all the other Hollywood women!
No plastic, fantastic, just Cyb, a mom, trying to make up for all the years she lost with her kids...
In her Moonlighting years she was a BIG STAR known all over the world, millions watched Moonlighting, she was my rolemodel in the eighties and I'm not the only one. But now she's just doing whatever she likes to do and does not let anybody make her crazy anymore.
I have never again seen a woman on the screen that intrigued me as much as she does.

I couldn't help myself! I posted on BW's site and made a defensive statement in favour of Cyb!
Gosh!why are these people so negative and can't they see the humor of it all?
I expected something nice being posted by B. but he wasn't too positive/friendly either.
Shame shame shame

YOU GO GIRL!

I wish that the entire thread on BW.com would be removed.

Enough already. I can think of several BW pics that could be put on that site that wouldn't be so flattering.

It's better not to start something like that, let's be the wise guys here!
It will only make things worse.
We did our piece and now they understand.
Like I said, they're a little childish.

I think however the problem is a bit more complicated...

First, I adore Cybill in Moonlighting and nothing will ever change that fact..... BUT I really think she needs to be more careful in what she says and how she acts in public appearances. This appearance on the show was very unflattering to her and people are bound to comment. At times, I know Bruce could heed the same advice. However, I don't know of any public appearance where he spoke/commented on Cybill's behalf....he is usually quite reticent about his experiences with Cybill. Notice even his reply on this topic on his board did not say one thing about her. He just stated his own preference/desire.

I don't think I have ever bashed Cybill on Bruce's board....but again I am not going to praise her actions when I don't think they were in her best interest. Hope this doesn't make anyone mad... that is just how I feel.

Tazmania
09-25-2004, 12:17 PM
No Cindy, no one is mad, everybody has an opinion.
But the bashing isn't necessary, we all know she says stuff about Bruce and maybe it's not ok but we also know that this is her nature, to talk freely and openly about everything she thinks and feels.
And that's also one of the reasons we like her so much.
And what she says about Bruce is just about ML or now she was probably hoping for a reunion.
Between us here.... every star has something weird about him/her.
The fame makes these people this way, I don't even think they can help it.
Last night she spoke about Bruce because she was asked about it, she just said the same thing as in her book, she also mentioned now that she heard about Bruce talking to the audience in a concert about a reunion (Iread that too)and that he wanted to do it and that she knows that people on the internet (like us) are pushing to get this reunion.
Has nothing to do with being desperate, she just loves to do it again.
I think the whole thing is blown up on BW's site.
And I hope I have offended no one....

oh heck, a friend (one not familar with moonlighting) knew that i was watching a cybill shepperd show threw for the first time, and had copied this english tv show and showed it to me. and now my suspension of disbelief is all screwed up. so i'll have to wait awhile to watch the next episode of moonlighting-and tell my non-moonlighting friends to show me nothing on cybill shepherd.
...irritated sigh....

CyBr
09-25-2004, 01:39 PM
Cybill has always had a tendency to fly off the mouth (no offense meant) and she's talked freely about Bruce since the show ended (in her book and elsewhere) so I have no doubt she'd love to reunite with him. What I find strange in this latest interview is how she seemed to be almost speaking for him. (That's only from reports I've read since I haven't seen the interview.) I hadn't noticed that before now, so I'm not sure what to make of it. Maybe it was to prompt some kind of response from him?

Tazmania
09-25-2004, 05:02 PM
That's also the difference compared to the interview of last night on Jonathan Ross.
She didn't speak for him there, she just said she heard he said it on his concert about 10 months ago.
Maybe that's why she's assuming he wants it too.
Makes sense doesn't it?

CyBr
09-25-2004, 08:24 PM
You could be right. I wonder why she's talking about it after all these months? I think it's great that she's speaks so highly of Bruce and show now!

Tazmania
09-26-2004, 04:43 AM
She says their good friends now, maybe that's why she's talking about him now.
Bruce talks about retiring from Moonlighting but maybe that's a decision he didn't talk to her about yet.
I'm not assuming they talk to eachother every day.
Anyway I think we have to give up on the idea that there's gonna be a movie.
We know now that he doesn't want to do it and that she does.
Guess there's nothing else to say about it....
Just that I'm really dissapointed because I DID want to see them reunited.
ohno:

Dutchie
09-26-2004, 05:35 AM
Yeah me too Taz. It would have been great (my opinion) to see them together again...Bruce already said to me that he doubted it, to me that already means a NO.

Oh my, after reading your posts about what was going on at BW.com, I went to have a look. I managed to not post a reply to some of the horrible comments, as several people were desperately trying to get the whole subject closed. I do think having that site unmoderated has made it really negative and strange recently. :(

B didn't comment on their horrid comments, but then it was probably best that he just comment on the proper subject of the movie. Somehow I kinda guessed he might say something like that....probably for the best.

I didn't realise there had been problems with the Mods, but then I don't reallly understand most of the stuff that goes on over there. Maybe that explains why they all got fired by B!

They were? When and why?
And what kind of trouble did you have Steph?

kismet
09-27-2004, 12:07 PM
Tell us what happened.

I thought some of the mods became "power hungry" and acted like they were in charge of everything. It caused some anger, as I recall. Even without the mods, some of the members still think they are in control and act as if their opinion is the only one that counts. One of them constantly talks on Bruce's behalf - I have seen her hurt members' feelings (two of them had a slight language/translation problem and she still kept it up).

I was very disappointed that Bruce didn't step in and get rid of the Cybill/Moonlighting thread. All he had to do was the close it down (or Talie for that matter). Talie did close the original thread but said that she wouldn't do it again. I think some of the members delighted in making Cybill the butt of jokes and I resented it tremendously. I think that is why the pic was shown over and over and over again.

His site is becoming increasingly insulated - the same few members have been acting like they are part of a high school clique. I noticed that BW yesterday and today responded to more posts than normal. Maybe he has noticed that there are other members that have interesting things to say, not just a few chosen ones. Do I sound jealous? I'm not. I used to read all of the posts on a daily basis - now I just read a few that have responses by people I admire, and of course the Moonlighting quote game gets me going everytime. I have gotten really tired of all of the "King B you're the best..." posts. The constant sucking up is really boring to me anymore.

If you truly want to put aside this often-seen bickering,
you must first-

1. Stop telling people in this PUBLIC forum that they are the ones at fault.

2. Stop going on and on about whatever the Problem Is in this Public Forum.

3. Solve your own problems with each other in Private.

So it's a PUBLIC FORUM?!

Try saying anything negative about Mr. Willis.
Try saying anything negative about Mr. George Bush, or the situation in Iraq.
Attempt to disagree with a couple of the favored members about anything.

Let's just see how far you can get. I will now let it rest.

I understand what you are saying but I just want to add that after this appearance from Cybill on GMTV she was in about 5 British newspapers with full page articles with pictures of her hair. Suddenly the whole country knew Cybill was in town and had a one woman show coming up. One paper even commented the day after that she could not have bought better PR if she tried. So I wonder if Cybill had that in mind. Either way her best interests were served in that she got a lot of publicity for her show.

Also guys, I have never been on Bruce's website. What's the address? I would love to join the Cyb defenders there! Does Bruce actually post himself?
