haven't seen many episodes of?
... and if you haven't spent money on a blind-buy, tell us what would be your limit for buying one.
The most that I have spent on a TV-DVD release was $60.00, and I spent it on The Monkees: Season 1. That is also probably the highest that I'd go without seeing many of the episodes of the series.

I'd only seen a handful of Roswell episodes before I spent $40 on season 1, I knew I'd like the show enough to buy the season.
When I bought Family Guy, I only had seen a handful of episodes also, but now I've seen every one.

I spent about $50 per season[i] for [i]The Dick Van Dyke Show -- when, after watching the DVDs, I realized that I had only seen about 10 episodes on TV.
Either way, about $250 later.... Im very satisified.
I also spent $30 on Curb Your Enthusiasm - Season 1, which I loved.
And a little over $40 on Freaks & Geeks - The Complete Series, which I have yet to watch.
I also got Good Times - Season 1 and Season 2 for free from my Uncle, although I had only seen about 10 or 15 episodes on TV.

$48.99 - what I paid for Freaks & Geeks The Complete Series, a show I never saw before I got the dvd, and as I made obvious in another thread, I'm extremely happy with the purchase

Well, I was going to buy Gilmore Girls: Season 1 blind when it was first released, but was reluctant due to its $45 price. Luckally, Warner Bros. released a Pilot DVD of the show, which I bought for $3.88. I thouroughly enjoyed it, and bought the Season 1 set shortly afterward. I love the show now.
The only series I received blind was Upright Citizens Brigade: Season 1. It was around $23, but I got it as a Christmas gift, as opposed to buying it myself. (I requested it) I don't really care for the show at all...I still haven't watched the 3rd and final disc in the set, and don't know if I ever will...

hmm..$30 was the most I ever spent on a blind buy...I bought The dUkes of Hazzard and I only bought it because I loved it as a kid, I didnt see the show in at least 10 years and seeing it again brought back memories of staying up really late to watch it in reruns...

I spent around $24 for season 1 of Green Acres. I hadn't seen the show before but I heard so many good things about it and so I bought it. After buying the set and seeing some of the episodes, I knew right then and there that it was good purchase to make and a great addition to my TV-DVD collection.

That one was an amazon.com deal. I spent a certain amount on an item, then got a $50 certificate to spend on the site, so I ordered Jeffersons 1 & 2.

No, it was a limited time thing from around a year ago.

I received Popular due to word of mouth from 2 friends so I asked to review that one.
I really like it so far... I think those "Freaks And Geeks" fanatics here should check "Popular" out also. It ran 2 seasons and very much captured the same "popular vs. unpopular" high school cliques. Definately look forward to season 2 in Feb

Freaks & Geeks = $70
Curb Your Enthusiasm = $40
$70 - 30 = $40 off
$40 - 20 = $20 off
Hmmm, who had the better deal? Moi. ;)
