Go on. Post a pretty pic of you in your uniform. Or, if you're not comfortable with that, just take a pic of your uniform by itself. I don't need any excuses, like, "I don't have a digital camera, scanner, BLAH." ;) God, I'm gonna be embarrased if I'm the only one that posts.

We're the Pirates. Black and Orange. Whoo.

Well, we marched in our uniforms the first time (not last night) but the Friday before. Sadly, I wasn't there... I was on a trip so my band teacher let me go. Our uniforms are blue, black, and white!

I used to be in marching band when I was in HS! If you want to see my uniform, just watch the movie "Contact!" I was in that movie with the band!

We played "Washington Post March" - you all should know it!

Have any of you tried the E flat clarinet or the Bass clarinet? I found the BC to be difficult, but the E flat clarinet was fun! It's the cutest thing - it was like playing a baby clarinet! I once got to play a soprano sax, that my friend let me try! Haha! So cute - and so high!

I've aswell tried the BC, and I didn't care for it much. As it is, I gave the Clarinet up 3 years ago. I probably couldn't play it now if you handed me one

My main instruments are the Flute/Piccolo. I love them to death.

Good for you!

Woodwinds were always easy for me because I play by ear:) I picked up the clarinet in the summer going into my 7th grade year and by registration, was immediately placed in Intermediate band (because I was already in advanced band with my flute!) A few weeks into the school year, we had try-outs for chair placements. We played a song, then was told to play our scales...out of 11 clarinets, I was put in 4th chair - that made me first clarinet!!! I beat out girls that had been playing for over a year - i only picked up the clarinet and had it for a month! Haha!

I started oboe my 8th grade year! And I'm glad I did!

I have a great ear for music. I used it to teach myself to play the Piano :)

That's excellent about the 4th chair! That's kind of how I was with the Flute, because yet again, I practiced at home and didn't even need to read the sheet music- I just went with the tune of the song.

I've tried oboe for a month. I wasn't great at it, I for some reason, had a hard time with the reed. Maybe I didn't wet it enough

Oboe really isn't a heavenly instrument - LOL! Most people make it sound like a cat on its last leg - but I made it sound like a turkey about to have its head chopped off....OK, I kid with you - but I did play around with the oboe and make it sound like a turkey - Gobble, Gobble! My friends and teacher were impressed on days when I was in TUNE! Haha!

Marching band was fun, but grueling. We marched in 90 degree heat plus humidity - Ugh! The trips on the bus were the most fun! We went to a lot of places!

I would post a pic of me in uniform, but my uniform has my school name on the front of it, and I'm not comfortable giving out that kind of info...sowy.

all you need to do is open it in Paint and scribble over it.
