Hi, can you please tell me if you are expereinceing any technical problems with your new Munsters DVD?
I noticed on DISC 1 SIDE B Episode #9: "KNOCK ON WOOD, HERE COMES CHARLIE" The sound is very low on this episode than the others.
Also in the next episode "AUTUMN CROAKUS" Right after they show Starring Fred Gwynne's name in the opening credits & it's about to show the title of the episode in front of the house, the music cracks for a split second.
Does these two things happen on your DVD or is it just my DVD?
Can you please check & also let me know about any other problems that you may have noticed?
Thanks...

I just checked! The sound isn't lower in eps. 9, but the sound does crack in the next one and I think it's normal.

I just also noticed that there are a couple more episodes where the sound becomes very low.
This is so strange. One episode will play nice & loud then it will become low on another. This so far only happens on Disc 1 Side B.
Anyone else having these problems?
And does anyone else notice the quick second music bump in episode #10 right after it says Starring Fred Gwynne and it shows the title: Autumn Croakus???

Yeah, the quality really isn't that great on some of the episodes. I hope Universal will redo it, and make it look better.

Has anyone watched the episode "unaired lost pilot"?
The color quality is fan-damn-tastic. I bought a tape sometime earlier called "THe Munsters: The Lost Episode." It was released by Amvest Video. The color quality on that episode was terrible. A HUGE YELLOW DISCOLORIZATION was all.

You've got to keep in mind that these episodes are 40 years old. The copies Universal is using are most likely the best ones they can find.

The unaired pilot looked as though The Munsters were wearing blue makeup. I guess this was before thay had switched to green. Most of the episodes are in good quality, but a few look VERY grainy. Especially the very first episode, after the pilot. I cannot remember teh title.

It was "Munster Masquerade". Excuse my language, but that episode looked like sh**. Also look at "Lily Munster, Girl Model". That episode also looks like sh**. I don't care how old the film is! I demand qaulity!!!

I still say it's probably the best quality that's available.
Just be glad it's not like the ALF 1st season DVD set: From what I've been reading, they're episodes edited for syndication. I guess a lot is missing there... Everybody is still waiting for an explanation of that one.)
