Last April, we were pleased to pass on a report from Bruce Willis at his website that Disney would release Moonlighting on DVD this November. A bit over a month later, we passed along another report about November DVDs. This one was from a fan-based website called UltimateDisney.com, and they mentioned Moonlighting in the same breath as Home Improvement, Golden Girls, and the second season of Boy Meets World.

So when the latter three titles were formally announced recently by Disney's Buena Vista Home Entertainment arm, and no mention of Moonlighting, we made a call and asked what was what. Buena Vista told us that yes indeed, this set was originally supposed to be part of the offerings for the November 23rd street date, along with the other three.

However, Buena Vista has removed Moonlighting from their schedule. There's no new ETA on the title, and no reason was given for the change. We'll keep a close eye on this, though, and we'll update you as soon as we have anything we can tell you. Stay tuned.

proabably a minority here, but this is a plus for me. i have so much going on now as it is. and with the other dvd's i have to get in the next couple a months, i won't have to worry about ML. just as long as this is temporary. i will be ill if they decide against releasing it completely.

:eek2: OMG, this sucks! What does this mean? Will it be released like a month later, or don't they have a date at all? I'm really bumming out right now. :(

I can see where Bobby's coming from & I feel the same way he does, but I was really looking forward to this coming out in Nov. over most of the other shows that are coming out. Not to disrespect the Boy Meets World fans, but season 1 of BMW JUST came out this month! They could have pushed BMW season 2 back a couple months & released ML in Nov. instead. Damn you Buena Vista!! :mad:

for some reason i want to have a temper tantrum over this.
i suspect that it's too costly because of the music rights, but i don't know what the heck is going on.
i'm pretty ticked off about it.

If it's true, I'm livid.

I can't believe the CRAP that has been put out on DVDs and still no Moonlighting.

This may be wishful thinking, but maybe it's been postponed so Bruce and Cybill can do the commentaries?!?!

I WANT MY MOONLIGHTING ON DVDS. My tapes are falling apart.

I think we should all write letters to BVHE ripping them to shreds about what they're doing. Make them sad and sappy or dripping with anger. Either way, we've gotta let BV know how much this is killing the ML fans! What do ya think?

i bet bruce would have made a decent looking superman in his early 20's.
then again, wouldn't it have been wierd with bruce and curitis in their dave and bert characters as batman and robin? think of the dialog:
do bats flap, do robins sing?
holy detective episode, sir.


agnes could be the maid instead of having a butler. robin would constantly be distracted at fightig crime as he was busy making goo goo eyes at agnes.
maddie of course, would be the cat woman.
mcgilicuddy is the joker. (i know it's spelled wrong but you know who i mean.

Aaargh! I can't believe this is happening... Has anyone heard any more from Bruce about this??? I can't imagine this is to do with the music anymore, as the first series hardly has any music in that isn't incidental...they could release that now!

I agree; the music shouldn't be a problem. If it is, though, it was extremely irresponsible for BVHE to get our hopes up without actually knowing for sure if the production would be possible. That's what's burning me up.

I think that's the problem isn't it? A whole group of people were celebrating and looking forward to getting their hands on these DVDs and suddenly it's been taken away!! I don't see why it should be so difficult. I wouldn't mind as much if you could still get the videos easily....

Soooo unfair, especially as I only have about 15 eps on video, and it's been sooo long since I've seen some of the others..I will just have to keep on looking at the clips on D&M.com!

I know! It's not hard to release a show on DVD - I mean, "The Nick and Jessica Variety Hour" is available, for God's sake! We also have the pleasure of purchasing six seasons of "Friends"!

Now, I can understand if there are difficulties going on, but that company has no right to notify every Moonlighting fan on the planet before they find out for themselves if the production is even possible! That's ridiculous!

I have major ML problems. I only have one episode on tape, and my computer freezes when I try to view online clips. :cuss: I really don't have any connection to the show anymore. :(
