I noticed on tvshowsondvd.com that Seinfeld will have a "minimum advertised price", am I the only person who thinks that is bull?

I am not a fan of the thought of tv shows retailing for $50, but for sitcoms like Sex And The City, South Park and The Simpsons that retail for $49.99, the weeks they come out, you are able to find them on sale for as low as $27.99... Yet Seinfeld can't go on sale lower than $39.99, anyone else find that disgusting?

I find it disgusting.... especially seeing that it comes out Thanksgiving week.

BUT -- Columbia Tristar was genius (from a business standpoint) to have the M.A.P.
They'll still sell like hotcakes.

But, If I read it right -- it means the store can have it as low as they want, as long as the price isnt mentioned in the ad.

But now that the price can't be advertised, finding Seinfeld cheap the day after Thanksgiving will be hell.

Looks like the powers that be behind "Seinfeld" want one more trip to the well.

true, but one thing that is so nice is that you can pricematch DVD's... I've done it many times when preordering a DVD at FYE... and then coming in and bringing in a Target or Circuit City ad, and then getting back money (I am really high-maintenance with DVD's I want, wanna pay for them in advance)
