"gotta start somewhere"

a disgruntled agnes fills leftout in the job she does. so she takes a case dave and maddie turned down....dealing with ghosts. herbert shows up. she let's him stay because of her fear. turned out to be a doctor trying to steal the house from the people who owned it. bert disposed of him.
so funny when herbert was at the door in a trencoat/hat and "tubular bells was playing". great jab at the past!! what made this episode so good was the dialog that did make constant refence to other horror stories. great writing. also loved the toungue lashing they recieveed from maddie back at the office.
a lot better than agnes' last solo story.

rating: 7

I'm not a real fan of the Agnes and Bert epi's, but I must say that I like the office scene too!
Great the way Maddie shows them who's boss!

I am really not up on the Agnes/Bert episodes as I am on the others....but if I remember correctly this is the one that has that great scene outside the office door between Maddie and David discussing not taking the spooky lady's case..... where they both agree and reach agreement at the same time.... "Are we not made for each other or what!" David exclaims. Then "Want a cigarette?" for them reaching the "climax" at the same time. It is a funny little scene. and notice, the one thing I most remember about this episode has NOTHING to do with the main storyline.

That's the only part I remember also. I had no interest in watching any Bert and Agnes episodes -- I would watch only for any scenes that included David or Maddie. Now there was one exception and that was "In 'n Outlaws" -- I will watch more of that episode for SOME REASON.  ;)

I really haven't watched this one enough to remember much. But I know the lines about reaching the climax at the time and having a cigarette are also in The Bride of Tupperman after David solves the case during the commercial. David also says something about having a cigarette after they untangled themselves from the pantyhose in I See England, I See France... so looks it like the line was used a few times.

Yeah, me too. :o I don't really remember this one enough to give it a fair critique, but I'm guessing that if it was an Agnes/Bert storyline, I wasn't too crazy about it.

this episodes claim to fame for me will be that it's the one that ended the group date.

oh my, i hope moonlighting hasn't jumped the shark.

I watched this one today and whilst I was disappointed not to see the Straight Poop as I expected I did enjoy it :) . Agnes made me laugh out loud a few times

And the 2 secenes that do have Maddie and David are great. I love the agreeing in the first one and David saying thet they are made for each other. And in the 2nd I like how after giving Agnes and Bert a telling off Maddie then congratulates them

A bit of lighthearted fun

Have to say, I found this one a bit boring. Though Agnes was pretty funny at times, I do find Bert quite annoying. But you're right, David and Maddie's parts were great, as always.

I wanted to see The Straight Poop so I was very disappointed, needless to say.

I cheered when Maddie and David came on the screen

I spent the rest of the episode wondering what the hell was supposed to be happening. I lost track. Until Maddie and David re-appeared, obviously :D
