1. Have the family move to a different home (this would provide for fresh and new scenary).

2. Have the show re-locate to California on the beach.

3. Write in some new characters and new story lines.

If A Season 10-----------------------
Dan would be gone and Roseanne would cope with his death. Becky and Darlene would have their kids and Roseanne giving them advice. DJ still dating that hot chick Heather. Jackie is dating the state senator of California.

I think that whatever Roseanne had done in the last season it would still have not been as great as the previous seasons. I think that if the Conner's had stayed in Lanford, not won the lottery and Dan had not had the heart attack it would have been good. The lottery storyline was ok but it took alot away from the original concept of the show. I'd prefer to just introduce new characters and storylines.

Dan should have had his heart attack, but survived (like the way we saw it happen), they didnt win the lottery, Dan didnt cheat on Roseanne, a lot of season 9 episodes should have been eliminated or rewritten, then it would have been a lot better (if they made up some good storylines)

Season 9 was really screwed up, and totally pales in comparison to the rest of the season, but we still got some laughs out of it right. So it was good to me.

I didn't laugh at anything on the show during that final season.:(

heres what I think. I beleive in the end of season 8 or one of those episodes. Dan does have a heart attack. I beleive his character for season 9 should have died off.( I beleive John Goodman didn't want to come back for a 9th season.)

Then we could have seen life without Dan. The show could have focused on Roseanne being a single mother and dealing with the death of her long-time husband. Also focused on Roseanne helping raising her grand-child. They would move Darlene and David in and also have Jackie and Bev move in to help out with everything.

That would be totally diffenent from the Roseanne in the last eight years. Perhaps in season eight Dan should have his heart attack at the end of the eighth season (The Wedding) and that could be the series finale and would be a cliffhanger to a spin-off. The spin-off could start off being a couple months after the wedding and the family could be getting used to life after Dan's death. The lottery could be involved in which it would add something positive to the otherwise depressing show. But I think it would work better without the lottery because that is what the show was all about. I like Will and Grace's idea about Darlene and David in and also have Jackie and Bev move in to help out with everything.

You guys should write your own eps for season nine, you all seem to have your own ideas of how it should have gone, while it won't change what happened, might be fun to read.

You never know you might unlock some hidden talent for comedy writing.

What does that have to do with anything?

Well here's how I'd change it...

--It would be the family coping with Dan's death (Yes I'd like to see life without Dan)

--Jackie starts fighting with Fred over custody with the baby

--Darlene gives birth to her child and we see how she struggles with raising the baby

--Dan's dad, Ed, dies and Crystal starts hanging out with the family again

--DJ and Heather want to tie the knot but each time they try they change their minds

CHARACTERS NEW...
Marge Dolman (Patrika Darbo) from an earlier episode
A new man in Jackie's life (a trash man)

CHARACTERS GONE...
Mark and Becky (for me no lecy no becky...maybe a few eps here and there with sarah chalke)
Dan (Died)
Nancy

Well, I would have had a Roseanne meets Full House ep, I can just picture it
Roseanne: Damnit DJ!
Michelle: That is not very nice!
I guess in my version of this, the Tanner family is kinda way more perfect than normal

I think that season 9 should have been without the unrealistic episodes ("Roseambo", "Satan, Darling", etc.,) and had no Dan cheating...it should have went something like this; Roseanne uses the lottory money to go to writing school and in the series finale, she should have had her very first book published. I think it would have worked out great because the series started out with her talking abot how she loved to write so much. The problem with series 9 was how everything was ultra unrealistic.

Keep Darlene and David mostly the same as season 9 (gives birth to the baby), Becky decides to also go to school and Mark opens his own bike shop (or something like that). DJ stays mostly the same (meets Heather and he wants to go in to making movies.) I don't know what Dan would do, but he's basically the one who usually ended up staying home watching Jerry while Roseanne "works". Jackie starts talking to Fred again. Beverley shouldn't have turned out gay, but she does become friends with Leon and scott.

that really doesnt sound like something that'd happen on Roseanne. I don't mean to be offensive by this or anything, but that's kinda like the Disney episodes. Something that most shows would do, but not a high quality show like Roseanne. I think it would just cheapen the whole show.

Yeah, I guess you're right, it sounded better in my head though
