View Full Version : Would this be pointless to include on a episode on DVD?

If you are watching a two part episode on DVD and at the end of part one, the message appears on the screen as the voiceover says-"stay tuned for the conclusion of this episode next week" And then when part 2 begins, the teaser begins with the voiceover saying-"here are scenes from part one last week"
Anyone think that is something they would like to see/hear on a DVD or you could care less?

I see your point. However, I want the episodes just as they originally were. Therefore, I'd want that to be included. It doesn't mean I'd watch that, but I want to have the option of watching it.

Yeah i don;t think most TV Fans think about stuff like that but if you can get a episode with a original voiceover it's a great thing to have in your collection.

I agree with TVAdam, I would like them how they originally were aired.

That's the best way to have them.

I wouldn't want them to change it. Some shows (like Cheers) had humorous ways of reviewing what happened in the previous episode.

I agree, especially on I'll Be Seeing You (Part 2).
With the drawing on the people.
And of course.... Cliff's Florida pictures describing what happens after that episode in Rebound (Part 1).
And, OT but -- it you ever change your avatar, Im just gonna have to steal it -- if thats ok.

Haha, we'll see about that.
Another one I really like was the "Coach in Love Part II" one, where we hear the other characters talk about what happened. I love it when Frasier calls Diane and pretends to be an obscene caller.

Haha.
And she knew it was him right away.
Classic.

depends, some of the dramatic shows I like ALWAYS had episode recaps, which would mostly be useless if you have the season.
But one exception I kinda wished to have had, but didn't, was the Buffy season 5 finale "The Gift" (the final WB episode), instead of the typical "previously on Buffy" recaps that listed just the last 3 or 4 episodes, this one went all the way back from the beginning... and then after the end of the episode when we see Buffy's grave, originally we then saw a "thank you for 5 wonderful seasons and 100 great episodes... The WB", however, this was all removed in syndication. I was kinda upset this was all missing on the season 5 DVD. Especially when this was intended to be the series finale in the first place.

Yeah that sucks. I'm surprised that season on DVD made it any money.
