On the 1st episode the entire set is different. The refrigerator is behind the stove. And Rob and Laura keep walking off the set instead of the kitchen door.

That is because the first episode was the pilot which was filmed on January 20, 1961 on the sound stage that usually belonged to The Danny Thomas Show. The set was a temporary set constructed just for the one episode, and then torn down after.
After the pilot was sold, a permanent set was constructed on another sound stage. The second episode was filmed on June 20, 1961, five months after the first. That is why the set is slightly different in the first episode.

I also noticed that in the first episode,Rob called his wife Laurie. However, from then on in the series she was only called Laura(with slight variations on her maiden name).

I think Laurie is just her nickname because I'm pretty sure he said it in "The Blonde Haired Brunette"

Hi all,
Rob did call her "Laurie" a few times during the series. I think Jerry Helper did, too . . . at least once.

From my observations, "Laurie" was a nickname sometimes used by all (Jerry, Millie, Buddy, Sally, Rob) throughout the first season. I for one am thankful that they stopped using the nickname. I just don't think it fits her.
