Rock Band Episode

I'm not really even sure if this is the right show but:

I coulda swore it was Jason Bateman.

The gist of it is that the kid & a friend invent a rock band to play in a show after lying to impress someone.

They end up following through. Puppeting the show and killing off the band in a car crash at the end.

I remember the name of the band was The Dregs of Society...

Anyone remember this?

I'd love to find a copy of it.

That was in Jason Bateman's show "It's Your Move", which was on before Valerie started. The actual name of the band was, The Dregs of Humanity. That was an awesome show and a great episode. If you check on e-bay, occassionally there will be episodes for sale.
