Was there a time in the show where Mother Jefferson genuinely liked Louise? I mean, there are episodes when Mother Jefferson would be nice to Louise and I realized it was only out of reaction to situations and not because they genuinely cared for each other.

I can't remember any eps when she liked Louise

Mother Jefferson was only nice to Louise in a condecsending way; she was jealous of Louise, because George was the "Apple " to her eyes, and did not like that fact that Louise was his wife, and more involved in his life than she was...But, I loved Mother Jefferson's arrogance towards Louise, and her "Friendly " facade towards her daughter-in-law...
