How would you have done it?

If you were the executive producer of the show in season 9 how would you have written the last 24 episodes of the series?

I would have ended season 8 with 8.24 and the last scene where Dan is dead in the hospital room and Roseanne is reading a magazine. Then, at the start of season 9 I would start off the season with a two part episode dealing with Dan's death and then moved on! Not the whole lottery thing. OR if I would have Roseanne win the lottery after dan died I would have done it in a very tastefull way. For example I would have a storyline where Bev fiinds out that Al had another son with Joan and he comes for a visit--only to find out that he is dying of AIDS. He would ask Roseanne and co to march with him in a pride prade but before they can he dies and Roseanne donates 1 million of her lottery winnings to the AIDS crisis!

I would have kept some of the season nine episodes. Instead of Roseanne and the terrorists I would have Roseanne show her power as a women in a different way. Maybe having another Lunch Box in a different town. I would have DJ asking David for advice about Heather not asking Mark. The last episode I would have Ann- Marie, Crystal and Bonnie be in the last episode eating chinese food with everyone. Dan's mother would not have been crazy but she would have been interested in the kids. Roseanne woulld have then had a couple of clips of moments that made Roseanne the show it is. This way we could remember the show's great times. When Roseanne and Jackie go to the spa, I would have changed the way Roseanne felt, I would have her be controlling over the stuff they did to her. Roseanne would have talked with her mother about her marriage with Al. I would have Sarah Chalke be Becky in Into that Good Night Part 1 but have Lecy be Becky in part two. Jackie would been asked out by the prince but said no. Darlene would have more episodes about her and David preparing for the baby. The show would have still ended with the monologue and Roseanne talking about Dan's Death, Mark and Darlene being together, Jackie being gay not Bev and DJ being artistic.
