Does anyone else think its weird that Nick at Night refuses to show the 80-84 seasons of Happy Days? It seems even weirder when you consider that Nick shows the entire run of Laverne and Shirley. They don't start the run over after the last Shirley episode.

I was wondering about when they would get around to showing those later episodes... don't they even go so far as to show the *final* episode of the series, yet completely ignore the later episodes? I think the latest episode I'v ever seen on Nick was the oneh where Fonzie grew a beard and was teaching shop a thte high school.
As far as Laverne and Shirley is concerned, me and my room mates won't watc the non-Shirley episodes. See my posting on the L&S Board for more info on that.

Really? I never noticed that! I agree with you and your friends about not watching any of the L & S episodes without Shirl. I was shocked when she left! Let's hope that this time around for Happy days they go all the way through. That is soooo stupid if that is what they do!

According to TJ, Nick is going to start the run over after episode 174 next month. That means they are going to skip about 81 episodes. When are we going to start that petition?

Unfortunately,
After Richie Cunningham leaves the series, Happy Days becomes a whole new show which I believe they should have retitled to Fonzie's Life. The show drastically changed and it was just stupid to have Lori Beth remain on the show. Fonzie without Richie is like Falfa without his Black 57 Chevy.

This is true. Fonz got first billing on the show and I know the producers got the hint that Loribeth was starting to lose her significance. The only episodes that involved her being the main focus (during the non-Richie shows) was the episode when she needed $800 to go to Greenland and marry Richie, The wedding episode and the birth of little Richie. I thought Loribeth was sweet and she is one of my favorite characters on the show. I also think she deserved the right to be billed with everyone else at the beginning of the opening credits. At least she was spared and able to work for another 2 years on the show, but we all know that her character was more significant when it played off Richie.

I think it is ridiculous!
I called NAN and asked them why, and got a voicemail back replying that "we have aired the later episodes in the past but due to viewer's response, we found that the viewers like the Richie episodes better". Maybe the first 7 years were more popular to many, but there are some of us who like the later episodes better. Personally, I am getting tired of looking at the same first 7 years of the show. Thankfully I have local TV Station where I live that airs the last 4 seasons which I do have on tape. I tape them every chance I get.
