You have got to be kidding me! LOL! An Epstein spinoff would have been interesting, but Horshack! No way.

I don't think i'd watch that. I never cared much for Horshack.

I'd rather watch a spinoff with Washington, Barbarino or Mr. Woodman.

I now what you mean. Horshack was my least favorite character. The name of the spinoff was going to be called "Horshack"-LOL

Giving Horshack a spinoff would have been like giving

Ralph the Doorman a spinoff from the Jeffersons

Bookman from Good Times

Rob from What's Happening

LOL

I guess that's why they were making him grown all of a sudden. Getting married and all. Tell me, during his "grown" years, was he still doing that laugh? Can't remember.

The producers had to know you can't all of a sudden change a character who was a NERD to a Mature Man overnight because the viewers will not take that character seriously.

That would have been like doing a SAVED BY THE BELL spinoff starring Screech(!). Can you imagine how grating that voice would be as the
lead character in a show??

I had heard something about it years ago. But there are a few people who might have watched it, especially if they made some minor changes to the chararcter.

OH Nuts!

I would have watched it at least once out of curiousity. And if it was a bomb I'd give it one more chance. I agree with you, Horshack was not that strong of a character to build a show around. It probably would have flopped big time. Vinnie maybe would have worked.

Part 2 of Whatever Happened to Arnold was the pilot to the series. Kotter and the Sweathogs only appear in the opening and closing scenes.

I don't recall seeing that episode on TV land

I recorded the episodes (most of them) from WPIX 11, which was an a la cart station on my Dish. The episodes ran uncut. This episode was about Horshack trying to get a job after his fifth stepfather died. The Sweathogs only appear before the opening theme song, and in the tag, Gabe only appearing in the opening segment as well. It was an okay episode, taking the viewer into Horshack's life, but other than that, nothing to recommend about it.

Aww, I love Horeshack and I think it would have been cool to see him with his own show. I would also have watched an Epstein spin-off, not sure about Freddie tho. And I think Barbarino's character was too stupid to survive on his own show :)
