In Punky Finds a Home Pt 3 on disc one, there are a couple of times when the screen goes blank for a second.. during one of those times, a bunch of colors flash across. During Gone Fishing when Punky is reeling in her fish, the whole scene gets pixelated and I can hardly hear the audio! Are your guys' dvds like this? If not, I'm definitely going to return and get a new one.

About the screen going blank with the colors flashing across on "Punky Finds a Home Pt 3", every copy is like that. That is a problem with the tape that was used for making the DVDs...nothing to worry about.

However, that problem that you're having during "Gone Fishing" definitely IS your particular DVD. Are your Punky DVDs scratched or marked up at all? My "Gone Fishing" episode played perfectly. Definitely return your copy to the store for a replacement...that is, if they still have some in stock. (this is a very popular DVD set) Good luck.

Well, I just watched the scene again and the pixelation was gone and it played just fine. I don't know what it was, but since the first problem is on all the DVDs, I won't worry about returning it. Too much of a hassle anyways if they dont have more copies. Thank you for your help.

check out the review for the DVD on www.tvshowsondvd.com it mentions some visual problems because it was made on tape not film back in the 80's.

Here another concern; in the cartoon episode "Glomer's Story," it gets cut off at the part where Glomer tells Punky that he's hungry (after taking the man's hotdog). Does this happen on all the DVDs?

Yes, unfortunately, that is a problem on all copies of the Punky Brewster DVD set. :( It has been discussed at great length on a few message boards I frequent.
