Nope...Just unreponsive. She doesn't do her usual cuddly things...She just sits there, limp...and if I pick her up, she's very limp...Doesn't take effort to make her stay still so I can force feed her water through a syringe...

My whole life I've had pets and it really does. I've had to go in with a few because they had to be put to sleep, which just about tore me up. But I didn't (and couldn't) want them to be alone, even though the doctor would be there. I'm sorry, Sonny. :(

My old cat used to do that when he was stressed out. Happened if he wasn't feeling well and when strangers were in the house. More than likely, that's why she's shedding a lot.

Can you believe it? It's supposed to be because of their strong sense of smell, can't remember what else they said. But that was basically it. Also, they talked about how when cats get older, they like to be close to you more often because of your body heat.

My whole life I've had pets and it really does. I've had to go in with a few because they had to be put to sleep, which just about tore me up. But I didn't (and couldn't) want them to be alone, even though the doctor would be there. I'm sorry, Sonny. :( Thanks Kate. I've never had any put to sleep. They just die in some way. I think I told you about Lady Bell. I had another dog that died from tic bites and My last dog broke a blood vessle and died right when I got her to the vets office. Pets cheer you up but they also bring you down when they're sick.

There was two of mine I had to put down, and one of my grandmother's. She was so upset that she just looked at me and asked that I go in. Very true. :( They say that people who have pets in their lives live longer than those who don't, and that they help with your blood pressure. You're a lot healthier, which I believe.

Actually Coco's the longest pet I've ever had. My last dog's name was Dutchess and I had her for 8 years, so for the last 18 years I've had 2 dogs.

Wow, I didn't know that. That's a really pretty name! This is the first time in a long time that I've only had one dog. All the other years of my life, I've had at least two if not more, plus a cat. The hardest was losing my cat, which I named Mike. I've no idea why I named him that ( ), but I loved that little guy so much. And then Tasha and Max, plus CeCe.

Thanks, I just knew that name would fit him and it did! He was so sweet, and loved nothing more than to play with my feet before falling asleep at night. Muffin's a cute name. Cool!! Man, you sound like me when I was still in elementary school. I had a hamster, a cat, a dog and a huge tank full of fish. Then one time I had some parakeets. It was like walking into a zoo. Oh, and I've also had FOUR dogs and a cat, which was interesting.

That's what I'm sayin'.. if I leave any of mine out, I'll feel like a turd.
First dog - Can't remember his name, but he was a weiner dog and was run over.
Viggin - Never understand why he had that name, supposed to be German. He belonged to a friend of my parents and was a gift for my dad. Big boy, too!
Max - Sweeeeet and very playful.
Tasha - You'd think she was a human, not a dog. Very ladylike and gentle.
Roman - More aggressive than the others.
Nikki - Mean as :censored: and stuck to my mother like glue. She snapped at me a few times and bit my best friend in high school.
Sugar - She was a cutie, but because my mom's best friend's two kids were rough with her, she wasn't very predictable. Loved to play the "flea" game. "Is that a flea on you?" She'd snap but not to be mean. Unfortunately, she got really sick and had to be put down.
There are more, too.

Ohhhh yeah, now I remember you talking about that! Actually, that's kinda neat. Well, little boys collect things that maybe us girls wouldn't think to. My mom's kid brother used to do that. He found a frog one day, stuck it in his pocket and my grandmother just about freaked.

Thank you! Your dog's names are great, too. I especially like the name, Sandy. My grandparents had a black poodle named Skippy and one morning she got herself up there on the table and ate an entire thing of sorgum! Made that little girl sick.
Here's how I came up with Nikki: I was in the 3rd grade, if I remember correctly and on the cover of my schoolbook was something for Nickelodeon, so... I asked mom if we could call her Nikki. She looked at me like I was goofy but agreed to it.

After that, I started to call her Punk. Or PunkAss, she was really obnoxious sometimes. Aww, now that's a good way to come up with names. I would've done the same thing with Dutchess. With Lady, she reminded me so much of Tasha it's not even funny. She's very protective of me and is very ladylike. When I brought her home that afternoon, I was fixing something in the kitchen and I took one look at her and said, "Lady!" She had her paws crossed, just like Tasha. Her nickname is DeeDee or... Dinkadoo. I'm laughing right now just spilling the beans about that, but it's true. I'll sing to her and call her Scooby Doo as well.
