I woiuld say Simpsons, but season one isn't really their best season (though very interesting, to be sure).
I'd go for either CYEs. The logical choice would be season one, but season two features some of the show's funniest episodes.

I think one of the main reasons that I haven't bought any CYE dvds yet is because the seasons are so short. If they would release the show in 2 season sets, I would be the first to buy it.

Understandable. HBO combined the first two seasons of Mr. Show on DVD, but there were only four episodes in season one and six in season two.

I don't really mind, though. Quality over quantity. I don't think The Sopranos, CYE, or The Shield would be as good if they had 22 episodes per season.

Not all of them. HBO's notorious for having expensive DVDs, though. I have all four seasons of The Sopranos, and I paid $70 each for them. I would have paid $100 if I hadn't bought them at Costco.

That's what I thought. I said "Cable tv shows" because I know "Queer As Folk" is on DVD and that's not on HBO and the DVD's are pretty expensive.
So are the Ab Fab DVD's. Damn imports. :o

I know my grandma doesn't have THAT much junk ;) Her original garage caught on fire in July 1999 (loooooooooooooooong story behind that one, I'll explain it later) and destroyed pretty much everything that was stored in there, including a car she had parked in there. Fortunately, she had enough insurance covered on the car, the garage and everything that was in it for them to rebuild a garage and to replace all the tools and other stuff that got destroyed, plus a brand-new car...So now she's a LOT more careful, and there won't be THAT much junk....;)
The fire happened one night after my grandma and some of my relatives had been at her house and they were varnishing some stuff for my grandma's garden. They used old rags, etc etc. and the rags were dipped in varnish. Well...one of them had an absence of mind and didn't dipose of the varnish-dipped rags correctly...they were in a garbage can (no-no) and somebody put it in my grandma's garage (another no-no) and somehow the rags were flammable enough to start a fire...varnish is VERY flammable...and anyway, it burned down her garage.

Disney made some pretty awesome toys back then that I STILL have. Once, I went to a flea market and saw the EXACT SAME toy I had when I was a little girl! It was SOOOO weird seeing it and to think it's being sold at flea markets now!

Target wouldn't happen to have them, would they? Hmmm, I guess not. I'm pretty sure my S1 copy was $45 or lower than that when I brought it last fall (November 2003).
